Camryn DelGallego sank two free throws with eight seconds left in the game, and Pittsford Mendon won its home opener. DelGallego finished with seven points on the night. Emma Giordano and Gabriela Esposito combined for 11 points in the first quarter to spot Mendon to a 15-5 lead. The Vikings took a six-point lead into the final quarter before holding off the Eagles. Giordano led Mendon with 14 points. Esposito had 10. Kate Crowley (6), Natalie Mai (4), Brooke Bowler (3) and Paige Glantz (1) also contributed on the offensive end. Mendon’s win overshadowed the individual performance of East’s Gabriella Brown-Sturdviant who finished with 30 points including nine in the fourth quarter when East outscored Mendon 12-8. Teenie Bowers (5), Ali Robinson (3), Jetti Castro (3) and Nevaeh Grisham (2) all scored for East.

Maeve Brennan finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds for her second double-double of the season and fourth double-digit rebounding effort in as many games, but it was not enough for Irondequoit. Evin Terzioglu (8), Maddie Thore (7), Aubrey Smith (6), Kailey Besio (3) and Elizabeth Tytler (1) all notched points for the Eagles. Smith had seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Aimee Turner scored 17 points, grabbed five rebounds and made three steals to lead Arcadia/Olympia. Teammate Shania Estrich added 1o points, three assists and three rebounds. Ava Taylor grabbed a team-high six rebounds and scored four points. Rounding out the scoring for Greece Arcadia/Olympia were Kyleigh Bathe (6), Katelyn Geraci (6), Maddy Kielkowicz (4), Carly Cegielski (2) and Hailey Romansky (2). Bathe, Geraci, Kielkowicz and Cegielski pulled down four rebounds apiece.

Taylor Searle poured in 30 points to lead Cuba-Rushford to back-to-back wins. Emma Retz added 16 points while Brynn Lavery (6), Cloey Larabee (2), Shae Maples (2) and Tara Duvall (2) also chipped in on offense.

Nevaeh Ross finished with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead Scio/Friendship. The junior also collected five assists, four steals and a block. Kadence Donahue added 13 points, six rebounds and a steal in the win. Morghyn Ross had 11 points, eight rebounds, three steals and a block. Grace Drumm (8), Sophie Bolzan (4) and Megan LeFort (2) also contributed to the offense.
