Rochester Colonial Thursday Soccer Wrap: Vogler’s golden goal lifts Hilton in double-overtime; Athena edges Mendon

No. 2 WEBSTER SCHROEDER (12-2-3) 3
Abby Herbst led Webster Schroeder with two goals as the Warriors advance to the semifinals. Alyssa Doody scored the other goal for the Warriors. Sasha Zilist tallied two assists for Webster. Maddie Peterson recorded an assist. Megan Fry registered a five-save shutout for the Warriors. Webster Schroeder will face No. 3 Brighton in the semifinals with a chance to go to the Class AA sectional championship. READ MORE.

Pauny Khounpachamsy scored twice for Brighton to help the Bruins advance to the semifinals. Khounpachamsy found the back of the net in the 47th and 77th minutes. Finn Cregan scored the other Bruins’ goal in the 60th minute and also recorded an assist. Maggie Cregan tallied an assist as well. Brighton moves on to the sectional semifinals to face No. 2 Webster Schroeder.

Madison Vogler scored the golden goal in double overtime to send the Hilton Cadets to the Class AA sectional semifinals. Ella Clark tallied the assist on the goal. Sierra Bianchi recorded an 11-save shutout for the Cadets. Hilton will take on top-seeded Penfield in the semifinals.

No. 8 GREECE ATHENA (9-6-2) 2

Athena will play the winner of top-seeded Wayne and No. 16 Wilson/REC in the Class A quarterfinals.
