Meghan Joerger connected with an assist from Allie Finkbeiner and Sutherland salvaged a tie with its crosstown rival. Sydney Anderson staked Mendon to an early with an assist from Bridget Merkel. Moran Pochtar, who made nine saves in Sutherland’s season opener, stopped 12 shots on Saturday. Leah Meunch made four saves for Mendon.

In a game where all the offense took place in the opening 20 minutes, Batavia’s Anna Varland delivered the equalizer with an assist from Lilly Mileham. Kate Ricupito gave Notre Dame-Batavia a lead in the fifth minute. Autumn Mathisen had the helper on the play. Notre Dame-Batavia’s Rebeka Nickerson stopped 16 shots. Her counterpart, Julia Petry made eight saves.

Maya Ikewood finished with four goals and three assists to pace Pal-Mac’s offense. Ikewood found the back of the net three times in the match’s opening 13 minutes. The junior midfielder also assisted on a pair of Lily Boesel markers as the Red Raiders took a 7-nil lead at halftime. Boesel had three goals in the game. Molly Seither added a goal and an assist. Sophie Barclay, Reagan Diehl and Jenna Santelli each contributed a helper. Clare Boesel made one save for the clean sheet.

Abigail Marotta scored four goals and assisted on another to lead Marion. Teammate Abby Conover added two markers and an assist in the win. Emily Gushlaw contributed a pair of helpers. Ava Schubert and McKayla VanDerMeere had an assist apiece. Jayda Solomon scored the lone Marion goal. Emma Thayer made seven saves for the Reds.

Jaeda Mekker connected on a pair of second-half strikes to Wheatland-Chili. Mekker broke a scoreless tie four minutes into the second stanza and doubles the advantage in the 69th minute. Chyene Whitcomb and Camryn Limner both had an assist. Cal-Mum keeper, Madison Wyskiel made 10 saves.

Ellie Tangeman finished with two goals and an assist while Makaylah Higgins added a marker and two assists to lead Warsaw. Chole Hubbard opened the scoring 14 minutes into the match. Mattie Heim and Emily Klump followed with back-to-back within three minutes of each other to give the Tigers a commanding lead. Taylor Howard also found the back of the net. Heim added an assist. Hailey Degroff, Katrelles Grover and Brenna Ackerman-Gay combined for the shutout.
