BOMBERS 1 (3-5)
BUCS 3 (4-4)
The Bucs won a pitcher’s duel with the Bombers 3-1 on the strength of an excellent start by Jake Wiepert. Wiepert went five shutout innings for the Bucs, striking out six while allowing two hits for the win. Ben Horvath earned the save, striking out three in 1.1 innings to close it. Bombers’ pitchers were nearly as impressive, allowing just four hits on the game, but key two-out hitting allowed the Bucs to win the day. The Bucs struck first in the bottom of the third with two outs when Jacob Wolff beat the throw to first for an infield single as Ben Kazel scored from third. Another run scored during the next at-bat as Andrew Mitchell came home on a wild pitch to make it 2-0.

GINTS 2 (4-4)
PALE HOSE 3 (5-3)
A two-out single in the bottom of the fifth by Zach Richards propelled the Pale Hose to a 3-2 comeback victory over the Gints on Thursday, just a few pitches after a game-tying passed-ball score by Patrick Altpeter had tied it up.
