The SUNY Brockport Baseball team advanced its program-record winning streak to 14 games in a row following a doubleheader sweep of SUNY Oneonta Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles won game one by a score of 3-1 off a three-run home run by Nicholas Pastore which managed to score Brian Tietjen and Ryan Voight.

Brockport won game two off by a score of 2-0 from a two-RBI single from James Houlahan which scored Matt O’Dair and Sam Law.

Brockport’s wins came off huge performances on the mound by both starting pitchers as each recorded complete-game victories

Game 1
Andrew Huffman continues his dominance on the mound as he is tied with five other individuals across all Division I, II, and III NCAA schools for the lowest ERA this season with a 0.00 ERA through a total of 32.1 innings pitched this season. He recorded the win in today’s game bringing his record to 5-0 off the best performance of his career to date which saw him throw a nine-inning complete game striking out a career-high 14 batters and giving up a career-low three hits in the game. His only run came in the ninth inning and was unearned due to a fielding error prior.

Other game one highlights included Pastore’s three-run home run in the fourth inning and James Houlahan going 2-3 at the plate while also recording a stolen base.

Game 2
Tom Kretzler picked up his third win on the mound this season as the dual-threat pitched a seven-inning complete game for the second time in a row. This time around he punched out nine batters while only allowing three hits and gave up no runs. He now has a 2.02 ERA this season.

James Houlahan drove in the only two runs of the ball game off his single to center field in the second inning to drive in O’Dair and Law. Nicholas Pastore went 2-3 at the plate in game two while Sam Law stole two bases in the game while O’Dair recorded one stolen base.

NCAA Pitching Leaders
The Golden Eagles’ pitching staff is the best in all of Division III baseball after having improved its team ERA to 1.55 following today’s performances by not allowing a single earned run in 15 innings.
