Cody Cavuoto, Myles Palmer, Gaven Egan, Jacob Miller, David Brassie, and Phillipp Biermann all earned player of the year honors for their respective leagues as selected by Monroe County League coaches.
Cavuoto and Palmer were named 2021 Co-Players of the Year for Monroe County Division I. Cavuoto led Hilton to a Class AA title, and eventually to the State Championship game. The senior scored a team-high 24 goals and dished out 12 assists. The midfielder’s best game came in a 6-5 win against Brighton in overtime. Cavuoto netted four goals, including the game-winner in overtime. Palmer led Fairport to the second-best record within the division, and a team-high 24 goals alongside seven assists.
Alec Smith, Anthony Inglese, Luca Dodge, and Ben Cronk joined Cavuoto on the Monroe County Division I First Team. Smith finished second for the Cadets in goals scored with 16, and led Hilton with 15 assists. Inglese helped lead the Cadet defense while adding two goals and nine assists, Dodge scored three goals while working in the midfield, and Cronk recorded 63 saves during 1,092 minutes in goal.

Garrett Kucera and Jonathan Mussumeci both the First Team for the Red Raiders. Kucera had both seven goals and seven assists, and Mussumeci found the goal twice while assisting five.
Penfield and Victor both sent two player to the First Team. Shane McMillan and Christiano Mounnarat for the Patriots, and Thomas Gravino and Andrew Dempsey for the Blue Devils. McMillan and Mounnarat both netted nine goals for Penfield. McMillan assisted three goals while Mounnarat assisted seven.
Webster Schroeder and Rush-Henrietta added one player apiece to the First Team. Eli Boothby for the Warriors, and Angelo Lebron for the Royal Comets which rounded out the First Team. Boothby led Schroeder in scoring with 10 goals, and the attacker had one assist. Lebron paced the Rush-Henrietta offense with a team-high 15 goal. The attacker chipped in two assists to his season stat line.
Johnny Resnick and Will DePrez kicked off the Second Team for Hilton. Resnick contributed to the Cadet attack with a third-best eight goals scored and nine assists. DePrez helped lead a Cadet defense that only gave up 21 goals in 22 games.
Fairport and Penfield shared the most players on the Second Team with three each. Sejad Hodzic, Noah Buys, and Marco Ferri earned the honors for Fairport. Buys and Hodzic worked on the defensive end, and Ferri assisted eight goals to go along with five goals scored from the midfield. Omer Aktas, Danny Gregory, and Jack Walsh made the Second Team for the Patriots. Aktas and Gregory contributed defensively, and Walsh had one goal with five assists.
Victor, Webster Schroeder, and Rush-Henrietta all had two players on the Second Team.
The Blue Devils sent Paxton Marshall and Conor Cronin. Marshall and Cronin both made their mark on the defensive end. Cronin tallied 66 saves with 22 goals against in 845 minutes of action.
Tyler Drew and Jake Marcell made it for the Warriors. Drew did work in goal as well. The junior had 139 saves while giving up 30 goals in 1106 minutes of work. Marcell netted two goals and assisted three from his play in the midfield.
Chase Petschke and Tom Stojanov earned Second Team honors for the Royal Comets. Stojanov scored and assisted two goals, and Petshke found the goal three times while also locking down on defense.
Egan garnered the 2021 Monroe County Division II Player of the Year honors for Churcvhille-Chili. The senior led the Saints to the best record in the division, and the Class A sectional title game. Egan led his team in goals with nine, and added three assists while playing the midfield. The midfielder’s best game came in a 3-2 win against Victor. Egan netted two goals in the second half, including the game-winner.

Nick Rippe, Cam Burke, and Brett Seaman joined Egan on the Monroe County Division II First Team. Rippe led the Saints in assists by double-digits with 18 total, and chipped in five goals scored. Seamon and Burke contributed on the defensive end; Seaman added two goals and Burke chipped in one goal.
Brighton sent a shared-best four players to the First Team. Chase Alexandre, Daniel Barraclough-Tan, Matt Picone, and Cal Oberst represented the Bruins. Oberst put in 1302 minutes in goal, and the senior saved 74 shots while only allowing 18 goals. Barraclough-Tan paced the Brighton offense with a team-high 10 goals to go along with five assists. Alexandre led the Bruins in assists with 10 while also finding the goal eight times. Picone helped lead the Brighton defense while assisting on one goal throughout the year.
Spencerport and Irondequoit both had two representatives on the First Team. Kyle Milburn and Sujan Rajamohan for the Rangers, and Michael Wood and Josiah Claudio for the Eagles.
Milburn paced the Spencerport offense with 20 goals and was the only Ranger with double-digit goals scored. The forward also collected six assists on the year. Rajamohan scored five goals and assisted 11 while also leading the Ranger defense.
Wood led the charge for the Eagle defense, and Claudio found the goal eight times while assisting four more goals. Ryan McLarney earned First Team honors for Webster Thomas. The senior played lockdown defense for the Titans. Gustavo Acebal rounded out the Monroe County Division II First Team for Gates-Chili.
Spencerport and Churchville-Chili kicked off the Second Team selections with three players each.
Andrew Wiebeld, Justice Hinman, and Jack Keady all earned honors for the Rangers. Wiebeld and Keady led the Spencerport defense, and Hinman tallied seven goals and five assists.
Elijah Bailey, Quinn Hoak, and Jaden Tensley represented the Saints on the Second Team. Bailey, Hoak, and Tensley all contributed on defense. Tensley worked 1,087 minutes in goal and only allowed six goals.
Vlad Lavrynenko and Cory Jarvis represented Webster Thomas on the Second Team. Irondequoit had two players earn Second Team honors. Nevlyn Harper and Justin Connor joined the team for the Eagles. Harper scored and assisted six goals; while Connor found the goal nine times and recorded six assists.
Gio Buonomo and Yeron Acebal finished off the Second Team selections for Gates-Chili.
Miller earned 2021 Monroe County Division III Player of the Year honors for Brockport. The senior attacker led the Blue Devils to a 12-6 record which finished third in the division. He netted 26 goals to go along with three assists. Miller’s best game of the year came in a 5-3 win against Pittsford Mendon. Miller scored all five goals for Brockport delivering the win. The forward recorded five game with three goals or more on the season.
Liam Fitzpatrick was the only other Blue Devil to be named on the First Team with Miller. Fitzpatrick headlined the Brockport defense while assisting five goals and scoring two.
Pittsford Sutherland featured the most players on the First Team with four. Will Field, Carter Kladstrup, David Adeleke-Adedoyin, and Drew Kull represented the Knights. Field led Sutherland’s offense with a team-high 17 goals alongside four assists. Kull and Adeleke-Adedoyin headlined the Sutherland defense, and Adeleke-Adedoyin added four goals scored with six assists. Kladstrup recorded 74 saves while giving up 10 goals in 1,626 minutes in goal.
Lorenzo Ramos-Chavez, Aiden Lewandowski, and Gabe Taylor represented Greece Arcadia’s second best three players on the First Team. Taylor saved 66 shots in 1240 minutes and only allowed eight goals throughout the season. Lewandowski paced the Titans with a team-best 12 assists and six goals scored. Ramos-Chavez led the Arcadia defense while piling up two goals scored with an assist.
Pittsford Mendon and Canandaigua both sent two players to the first team. Brady Albright and Simon Goldstein for Mendon, and Dominick Spychalski and Zane Mullally for the Braves. Goldstein led the Vikings with six goals to go along with two assists, and Albright chipped in three goals with two assists. Spychalski paced the Brave offense with a team-high 17 goals and eight assists. Mullally finished second on the team in goals with eight, and added two assists to his season stat line.
Brennen Schmitt rounded out the First Team for Greece Athena. The defender paced the Trojan defense while also chipping in two goals.
Pittsford Sutherland and Greece Arcadia both sent three players to the Monroe County Division III Second Team.
Henry Leahy, Will Leahy, and Harry Vought represented the Knights. Henry Leahy collected five goals scored and five assists, and Will Leahy had one assist with one goal scored. Vought helped a Sutherland defense that allowed just 13 goals on the season.
Carson Englert, KeeBu Soy, and Jared Hinchcliffe earned the honors for Greece Arcadia. Englert did his work on the defensive end while adding two goals, Soy netted three goals and assisted one, and Hinchcliffe scored one goal while playing lockdown defense.
Brockport sent a league-best four players to the Second Team. Henry Schultz, Hayden Watt, Sam Bonisteel, and Tom Sidore joined the Second Team for Brockport. Watt tallied 107 saves in 1,264 minutes while only allowing 13 goals. Bonisteel scored seven goals and assisted three more from his work in the midfield, and Sidore assisted three goals while scoring one alongside stellar defensive play. Schultz collected eight assists and netted three goals.
Pittsford Mendon and Canadaigua both had two players earn Second Team honors.
John Santowski and Evan Smith for the Vikings, and Scotty Norris and Aidan Furmansky for the Braves. Smith and Santowski both helped the Mendon defense; Smith scored three goals, and Santowski had one goal. Furmansky scored two goals and assisted three from the midfield, and Norris added one goal while playing defense for Canandaigua.
Gavin Rice finished the Second Team for Greece Athena. The midfielder led the Trojans with a team-high eight goals alongside three assists.
Brassie and Biermann earned 2021 Co-Player of the Year honors for Monroe County Division IV. Brassie led Honeoye Falls-Lima to a 10-4-3 record and the Division IV crown. Biermann paced Greece Olympia to a second-best 11-7 record in the division. Brassie led the Cougars in goals and assists with nine and 10 respectively. The senior’s best game came in a 4-0 win against Greece Odyssey. Brassie assisted all four Cougar goals. Biermann racked up 19 goals and 11 assists which led the Spartans in both categories. Biermann’s season-high in goals came in a 7-3 win against Eastridge. The senior netted five goals and assisted the other two for Olympia.
William Buttino, Ricky Hill, and Josh Palmgreen all joined Biermann on the First Team for Greece Olympia. Buttino scored 13 goals to go along with eight assists, Hill led the Spartan defense while adding two goals, and Palmgreen scored three goals himself.
Valentino Maiola and Sam Emerson joined Brassie in representing the Cougars on the First Team. Maiola co-led the Cougars in goals with nine, and added five assists. Emerson found the goal three times and assisted two from the midfield.
Nick Grover and Carter Havens represented Batavia on the First Team. Grover led the Blue Devils in goals with 21, and Havens added four goals with 12 assists. Greece Odyssey sent to players to the First Team. Ryan Michelsen and Alex Cardinal joined for the Leopards. Michelsen scored six goals and assisted six goals from the midfield, and Cardinal netted one goal and assisted three while headlining the Odyssey defense.
Jason Kadio rounded out the First Team for Eastridge. The senior paced the Lancer offense with a team-high nine goals to go along with one assist.
Honeoye Falls-Lima kicked off the Monroe County Division IV Second Team with a league-high four players. Cole Chiapperino, Madut Mathuc, Xavier Carbonel, and Tyler Emerson earned the honors for the Cougars. Emerson saved 77 goals and allowed 13 goals in 1220 minutes of goal, Matchu scored and assisted five goals, and both Carbonel and Chiapperino locked down Cougar defense.

Greece Odyssey had the second-most players on the Second Team with three. Alex Bonin, Mayen Perez Aguilar, and Paul Lombardo grabbed the honors. Bonin led the Leopards in points with 23 resulting from 10 goals scored and three assists. Perez Aguilar led Odyssey in goals with 11 alongside one assist, and Lombardo added a goal and an assist to stellar defensive play.
Both Batavia and Greece Olympia sent two players to the Second Team. Ryan Dillon and Owen Halpin for Batavia, and August Liveng and Dawood Shuaibi for Olympia. Dillon led the Blue Devils defense, and Halpin had seven goals and eight assists. Liveng netted six goals and assisted three for the Spartans, and Shuaibi assisted five goals and chipped in one goal.
Dustin Bulmahn finished the Monroe County Division IV Second Team for Eastridge. The senior headlined the Lancer defense.
Mike Ellicott (Hilton), John Mahoney (Churchville-Chili), Sean Hopkins (Pittsford Sutherland), and Mike Merrill (Honeoye Falls-Lima) earned Coach of the Year in their respective divisions. Ellicott led the Cadets to a 19-2-1 record and the Division I crown. The Cadets earned even more hardware with a Class AA sectional title, Hilton ended its season in the state championship game. Mahoney paced the Saints to a 14-3-2 record which finished as the best in Monroe County Division II. Churchville-Chili ended as the Class A runner-ups. Hopkins coached Pittsford Sutherland to a 17-2-2 record. The Knights captured the Division III crown alongside the Class A sectional championship. Merrill led Honeoye Falls-Lima to a 10-4-3 finish. The Cougars finished first in Monroe County Division IV.
