A Private-Parochial League school and another from Allegany County will battle it out to decide the Class D2 title. The C.G. Finney Falcons and Scio Tigers are set to face-off on Friday. Here is the breakdown:

How they got here: Finney defeated No. 6 seed Jasper-Troupsburg, 4-0 in the quarters, and then beat No. 2 seed Northstar 6-1 in the semifinals. Scio used overtime to defeat No. 5 seed Houghton, 3-2 in the quarterfinals. The Tigers took down top-seeded Hinsdale in the semifinals 4-1.

History 101: C.G. Finney is looking for its third title in the last five years. The Falcons defeated Jasper-Troupsburg in 2018 for the Class D1 crown, and beat Andover in 2016 for the Class D2 title. Finney lost in the 2015 championship game.
Scio defeated Belfast 4-1 to capture the 2019 Class D2 crown.
A 5:30 p.m. kickoff is scheduled on Friday at SUNY Geneseo.
