Greece Odyssey won its first game of the year and advanced to the quarterfinals behind seven goals from Ekemini Udofa. Udofa scored five in the first half and two in the second half. Isabella Nuciolo and Izabella Lombardi added a goal each in the second half. Ella Lewis had both Lundonville/Medina goals. Samantha Carra collected fives saves for the Leopards. Greece Odyssey will play top-seeded Palmyra-Macedon in the quarterfinals.

No. 8 LIVONIA (5-10-1) 4
Esther Slocum had a hat trick to lead Livonia on to the quarterfinals. Isabelle Dennis got the Bulldogs on the board early with an unassisted goal. Slocum scored the next three Honeoye goals. Madison Shepard, Sabrina Adamson, and Anna Cinquino assisted Slocum’s goals. Livonia will play top-seeded Haverling.

Amelia Maslyn scored the lone goal on a Kate Mahoney assist. Maslyn scored in the 25th minute to send Midlakes into the quarterfinals. Mara Deisering totaled 11 saves for Midlakes in the shutout. The Screaming Eagles will play Mynderse in the quarterfinals.

Cassidy Strzelec and Skylar Savage netted a hat trick which paced Attica to the quarterfinals. Strzelec had the first two Blue Devil goals in the 14th and 33rd minutes, and she scored her final goal in the 43rd minute. Savage scored one goal in the first half and two in the second. Emma Pink scored the final Attica goal in the 71st minute on a Strzelec assist. Rily Rzepka recorded six saves in goal for the Blue Devils. Attica will play Penn Yan in the quarterfinals.

No. 1 WARSAW (17-0) 10
Number one-seed Warsaw advanced behind an offensive-explosion featuring seven different goal scorers. Makaylah Higgins, Mattie Heim, and Morgan Langdon all netted two goals. Chloe Hubbard, Emma Tangeman, Marina Cox, and Ellie Tangeman all chipped in a goal each. Warsaw will play Avon in the quarterfinals.

Anna Henner led Williamson to the quarterfinals with a hat trick. Henner scored her goals in the third minute, 20th minute, and 35th minute. Paige Jordan added two goals herself with both in the second half. Alexis Rodriguez, Andrea Hurtado, Elizabeth Brandt, and Nadia Serrano all finished with a goal. Chloe Jordan recorded three saves in goal for the shutout. Williams will square-off against Holley in the quarterfinals.

Samantha Bates accounted for three goals as Holley moved on to the next round. Bates assisted Emma Brady for the first goal of the game in the first minute, and then scored her two goals in the 12th and 40th minutes. Brady recorded both assists for Bates. Jailyn Bishop scored the final Hawk goal on an assist from Emma Downey. Layne Walker posted a shutout in goal with four saves. Holley will play Williamson in the quarterfinals.

Bridget McMaster and Mary Claire Rollins netted a hat trick apiece to lead the second-seeded Blue Devils to the quarterfinals. McMaster scored in the second, 20th, and 33rd minutes. Claire Rollins scored her goals in the 16th, 22nd, and 35th minutes. Jesslynn Kelly and Ryley Meyers both added a goal in the second half. Tessa Reilly and Caroline Capel split time in goal for the shutout. Geneseo will play Canisteo-Greenwood in the quarterfinals.

Three-seeded Marcus Whitman survived Letchworth behind Lana Burnett’s lone goal of the game. Burnett scored the game-winning goal in the 23rd minute on a Zoelle Payne assist. Sophie Snyder had three saves in goal for Marcus Whitman. The Wildcats will play Addison in the quarterfinals.

T’Mia Kitchings found the goal twice which led Kendall onto the next round. Kitchings netted an unassisted goal in the 16th minute and in the 53rd minute. Megan Gates scored a goal off a Grace Levett assist, and Brooke Rodas finished the Eagle scoring with a goal in the 76th minute. Mary Jones tallied eight saves in goal for Kendall. The Eagles will face-off with top-seeded York in the quarterfinals.

No. 4 HARLEY-ALLENDALE-COLUMBIA (13-3-1) 3
Harley-Allendale-Columbia scored three goals in the first half from different goal-scorers which led them to the next round. Meritch Welch put the Wolves up 1-0 on an assist from Katherine Winchester, and Winchester added on with an unassisted goal. Olivia Strader capped HAC’s scoring with a goal. McKenna Kelly had the lone Perry goal. Morgan Fowler had three saves in goal for HAC. HAC will play Keshequa in the quarterfinals.

Six different goal scorers led Keshequa past Pavilion and into the quarterfinals. Kelsey Davis, Ava Thayer, and Kristen VanDorn all scored in the first half. Libby Benner, MacKenzie Gillen, and Catrina Pierce put the game away in the second half with a goal a piece. Aurora Sabins totaled three saves for the Indians. Keshequa will play Harley-Allendale-Columbia in the quarterfinals.

Mia Gray led all scorers with three goals as Byron-Bergen moved on to the next round in the Class C2 sectionals. Gray netted all three of her goals in the second half, two unassisted and one assisted by Elizabeth Starowitz. Mackenzie Hagen and Kendall Phillips both chipped in two goals. Victoria Rogoyski had the only other Byron-Bergen goal on an assist from Sasha Schramm. Byron-Bergen will play Campbell-Savona in the quarterfinals.

Chloe Hann scored the only goal of the game in the 12th minute as Alfred-Almond moved onto the quarterfinals. Olivia Flaitz assisted the game-winner. Gracen Dusinberre recorded 21 saves in the shutout for Alfred-Almond. Alfred-Almond will play Bishop Kearney in the quarterfinals.

Kaia Goode scored five goals which led Bishop Kearney to the quarterfinals. Goode scored the first three Kings’ goals all in the first half. Goode added two more goals in the second half before Kylie Steffen capped off the scoring with a goal. Marissa Roides scored two, and Ava Amorese had a goal for Caledonia-Mumford. Kennedy Boston recorded nine saves for Bishop Kearney. The Kings will play Alfred-Almond in the quarterfinals.

Gavin Rice spent a large portion of the 2021 high school soccer season sidelined with an injury. Tuesday night, the Greece Athena senior clinched a chance to play one more game. Rice’s goal midway through the second half broke a 1-1 tie, and the Trojans went on to beat Gates-Chili. READ MORE.
