Tobey Wright (Rush Henrietta) recorded a game-high two RBI that paced DI Red to its fifth-straight win. Wright finished the game 2-for-3 including two runs scored. Steven Kraus (Hilton) added a 3-for-4 game with one RBI and two runs scored. Kraus put DI Red on the board early with an RBI single that scored James Poligone (Fairport) in the first inning. Trailing 2-1, DI Red jumped back in front when Nathan Zicari (Webster Thomas) scored on a wild pitch and Wright crossed home plate on a passed ball.
Wright touched home plate again in the fourth frame on another passed ball. Ben Kazel (Brighton) scored on a Patrick Altpeter (Aquinas) single that put DI Red up 6-2 after four. Wright headlined a three-run seventh with a two-run single that plated Zicari and Cooper Romich (Churchville-Chili). Zicari drove in Kraus earlier in the inning with a single.

Zicari got the start on the bump and hurled four strong innings featuring nine strikeouts. The left-hander allowed two runs on one hit and four walks. Kraus came in relief and gave up one run (unearned). Poligone allowed two more runs on three walks in the sixth, and Parker Drees (Greece Arcadia) closed the game allowing two runs (unearned) with one strikeout. Poligone totaled two hits in three at-bats with a run scored, Tommy DiFranco (Penfield) drove in a run and recorded one hit, and Altpeter chipped in two base-knocks.
Ian Fleck (McQuaid), Sammy Saucke (Greece Athena), Jack Cannon (Webster Schroeder), and Timothy Bowerman (Spencerport) led the DI Gold offense with an RBI and one hit apiece. Dylan Hodgeman (Rush-Henrietta) and Jacob Natale each added an RBI.

Joseph Conroy’s (Northstar) two-run single capped off a six-run seventh inning that helped DI Orange shake off a DI Blue rally. DI Blue used two hits, two walks, and one error to tie the game up at five heading into the final inning.
Ryan Grasley (Greece Athena) singled, Alex Green (Wellsville) doubled, and Anthony Shortino (Churchville Chili) got hit by a pitch to set the stage for Thomas Derleth (Fairport) with the bases-loaded. Derleth drew a walk which gave DI Orange the lead back. An error, a wild pitch, and Conroy’s single finished the six-run inning. Liam Eshelman (Victor) worked a shutout seventh frame to seal the victory.
Preston Foryt (McQuaid) headlined six different pitchers used throughout the game for DI Orange. Foryt threw two scoreless innings to begin the game with two strikeouts. Drew Wilson worked a shutout third, Antonio Jorge (Fairport) hurled a shutout fourth, Weston Elkovitch (Victor) threw a hitless fifth, Grasley got one out in the sixth, and Eshelman got the final five outs not allowing a hit and striking out one.

DI Orange got out to an early 3-0 lead behind Elkovitch’s two-out triple that plated three. Shortino, Broderick Hartfield (York), and Wilson touched home on the extra base hit. DI Orange added two in the sixth on a Paul Conroy (Northstar) single, and a Brody Wolcott (Fairport) sacrifice fly that scored Conroy. Elkovitch ended 1-for-2 with three RBI, Joseph Conroy (Northstar) went 1-for-3 with two RBI, Grasley ended with a team-high two hits, and Hartfield went 1-for-3 with a pair of runs scored.

Nathan Hill (Webster Thomas) and Charlie Sim (Williamsville South) got the five-run sixth inning started for DI Blue with two singles. Ryan Zaft (Webster Schroeder) put DI Blue on the board with a base hit that scored Hill. Sim came in to score after a bases-loaded walk drew by Brian Nassivera (Greece Arcadia). Zaft came into score on a balk, Gavin Haarr (Brockport) crossed home on a wild pitch, and Jack Salerno (Brighton) plated Blake Bucenec (Fairport) with a sacrifice fly. Zaft had a team-high two hits; Hill and Mason Haarr each added a hit.
