Grant Rodriguez (Finger Lakes CC) and Maxx Countryman (Finger Lakes CC) sent the Orioles to the championship game with two RBI apiece. Rodriguez finished 2-for-2 with two runs scored and Countryman ended 1-for-3 with a double. The Orioles got on the board early with two runs in the first inning behind a Rodriguez RBI double and a Jorge Oropeza (Finger Lakes CC) sacrifice fly that scored Rodriguez. Tied at two, the Orioles retook the lead with a Rodriguez RBI single that plated Gavin Moore (Alfred State). Countryman extended the lead in the home fifth with a two-run double that scored Keenan Calenzo and Moore. Dan Bowman preserved the lead in the top of the sixth when he forced a bases-loaded double play after coming in relief.
Bowman earned the save after hurling a scoreless sixth and seventh with two strikeouts. Jared Drake (DeSales University) earned the win after five innings of work. Drake gave up two runs (zero earned) on four hits and three walks while striking out seven. Moore went 1-for-3 and scored three runs from the leadoff spot. Henry Juan, Bowman, Nick Nealon (Niagara County CC), and Devin Cannon (Finger Lakes CC) each had a hit for the Orioles.
Greyson McDonell drove in both runs for the Cardinals. McDonell plated Ben Beauchamp (Monroe CC) and Keith VanDyne (Houghton) in the second inning with a two-run single. Dan Tirabassi (University of Rochester), Beauchamp, and VanDyne each had a hit. Mike Contini (Hilbert) and Zach Morse (Alfred State) combined to pitch for the Cardinals.
The Orioles will play the Monarchs for the 2021 ICBL Championship. A 5:30 p.m. first pitch is scheduled Friday at Bachman Field.

Jack Scanlon sent the Cardinals to the next round on a walk-off hit by pitch. After giving up two runs in the top of the seventh that tied the game, a Jake Dockum walk, a Dylan Boprey (Houghton) single, and a Dan Tirabassi (University of Rochester) walk loaded the bases with two outs for Scanlon.
After three scoreless innings, the Cardinals struck first with two runs in the fourth stanza. Lucas Jackson (Onondaga CC) drove in the first run on a fielder’s choice, and Scanlon scored the other run on a wild pitch to go up 2-0. Dockum gave the Cardinals a 3-1 lead in the fifth when the right fielder plated Greyson McDonell with a single.
Nick Ianniello (SUNY Brockport) picked up the win on the mound with a complete-game effort. The right-hander allowed three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out 10. Dockum finished 3-for-3 with a run scored, Tirabassi ended 1-for-2 and scored a run, Jackson contributed a hit and an RBI in three at-bats, and Boprey collected the final hit for the Cardinals.
Justin Keubel went the distance in the loss for the Ducks. The right-hander gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits and five walks. Keubel added five strikeouts. Hayden Smith paced the Ducks offense with a team-high two hits. The right fielder went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Devin Hicks and Ryan Davis both went 1-for-3 with a run drove in; Jordan Maher (SUNY Fredonia) had the only other base-knock for the Ducks.
