The Cardinals snapped a four-game losing streak on the back of two home runs from Dan Tirabassi (University of Rochester). The third baseman finished the game 3-for-4 with three RBI and four runs scored. Tirabassi’s averaged crept up to .395 for the season. The Cardinals jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning behind a Tirabassi solo home run and a two-run homer from Ben Beauchamp (Monroe CC). Lucas Jackson (Onondaga CC) helped the Cardinals add a run with an RBI single, Jake Soricone drove in Jackson with a single, and Nick Ianniello (SUNY Brockport) capped a three-run third frame with a sacrifice fly. With the game knotted at seven, Jake Dockum (Westminster College) broke the tie with a run scored on a passed ball, and Jack Scanlon drove in two more with a single to make it 10-7. The Cardinals put the game away in the seventh with a five-run stanza. Tirabassi highlighted the inning with a two-run home run.
Mike Contini (Hilbert) earned the win on the mound with three and two-thirds innings. Contini allowed three runs (all unearned) and two hits while striking out one. Ianniello closed the game with a shutout seventh and two strikeouts. Christian Blatter (Mercyhurst University) started the game and hurled the first two and one-third innings. Dockum went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. Dylan Boprey (Houghton College) drove in a run and scored on one hit. Jackson finished 1-for-3 including two walks alongside an RBI and two runs scored. Scanlon had two hits in four at-bats with two RBI and a run scored. Beauchamp ended 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored. Beauchamp finished with nine put outs in centerfield.
Zach Morrison (Finger Lakes CC) led the Ducks with a two-RBI game. Morrison went 1-for-2 with a run scored and drove in both of his runs with a single in the fourth inning. Ryan Davis collected two hits in four at-bats with an RBI and two runs scored from the leadoff spot. Josh Van Bramer (Alfred State) swatted a hit, and Logan Martella-Tasick (Mercyhurst University) had a hit alongside an RBI.

MONARCHS (6-7-1) 6
Tyler Henshaw (Potomac State) and Joshua Ferris (Finger Lakes CC) combined to strike out 13 and shut out the second-place Blue Jays. Ferris started on the bump and got through two innings and gave up two hits while striking out two. Henshaw came in relief and hurled the final five innings. The right-hander struck out 11 and issued zero walks; Henshaw’s ERA lowered to 1.26.
The Monarchs scored four in the first inning and coasted for the rest of the game. Lucas Sulimowicz (Finger Lakes CC) got the scoring started with an RBI double and came around to score on a passed ball. Aidan Wallace and Matthew Spicer (Cayuga CC) both got on via walks and scored on a passed ball later on in the frame. Walker Wright added to the lead with a bases-loaded walk which Jacob Parker scored on, and Wallace drove in the final run of the game with a sacrifice fly. Jacob Carroll and Nate Sanderson (Hilbert) both chipped in a base-knock.
Jason Story (Utica) and Trevor Zewan (Genesee CC) both had a team-high two hits for the Blue Jays. Zewan had a leadoff triple in the fifth inning but was stranded after three consecutive strikeouts. George Finter collected the only other hit.
