Trailing by one, Sutherland used five singles to generate a five-run fifth and hold onto the lead for the remainder of the game. Scotty Thyroff led the team with three hits, a run scored and RBI. Ethan Hurwitz and Nick Provenzale each had two hits, two runs scored and combined for three RBI. Keeghan Cummings, Jack Zawacki, Jake Fekete and Tyler Mullin each had a hit in the contest. Seth Trojian also had a pinch-hit RBI-single in the fifth inning for Sutherland. Provenzale was credited with his third win on the bump after going five innings, giving up two earned runs on five hits, four walks and three strikeouts. All but one of Sutherland’s batters in the starting lineup got a hit. For Brockport, Cooper Hassall and Devyn Scheidt both had two-hit ballgames. Ryan Judd, Finn Harvey and Hassal were credited with driving in a run. Ed Guerrero and Will Cole also managed a hit for the Blue Devils.

Zach Prior went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs to lead Victor over Webster Thomas on the road. Christian Brown followed with four hits including a triple and two RBI. Will Tehan, Ian Meeks, Danny Melendez and Aidan Schlarbaum all had two hits. Ben Weingart added a single and four runs driven in. Victor jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first inning. For the Titans, Joe DiNieri led the offense with three hits in three at-bats, driving in one and crossing home twice. Greyson McDonnell went 2-for-3 with a sac fly and two RBI. Colby Wilson and Garett Wilson combined for four hits, three RBI and a run scored as well.

IRONDEQUOIT (8-1) 10
Down by six before taking first at-bats, Irondequoit chipped away at a demanding Aquinas lead to eventually walk it off in the seventh. The game winning run was scored by Nick Calarco on a passed ball. Aquinas acquired three additional runs by the third inning to keep the six-point lead at 9-3. For four straight innings, Irondequoit generated two runs in the bottom half to tie the game by the seventh. Two of the innings were not affected by errors. Connor Gresens and Brian Tisa each finished 2-for-4 with a run scored and RBI. Irondequoit’s first three batters, Jaleel Davis, Brody Froman and Connor Springer all registered a hit and combined for five runs. Davis collected two RBI on the day as well. Dillon Fisher also had a hit and Marcus Harris added a run and RBI for the Eagles. Aquinas’ Channing Owens and Caleb Wilson were the two batters to finish with multiple hits at two apiece. Wilson drove in two and Owens crossed home once. Tyler Szalkowski and Shane Weasner both had a hit, two runs scored, a RBI and a walk. Lucas Leone smacked a single and Tre’ Walker had a hit and two RBI. Calarco tossed the final five and two-third innings for Irondequoit. He surrendered two hits, one unearned run, struck out six and walked three.

Athena jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first two frames to keep Gates-Chili suppressed and eventually take the match by the same margin. Casey Saucke II kicked off scoring with a RBI-triple in the first inning. Zach Harnischfeger capped off Athena’s night with a pinch-hit grand slam to push the score to 14-3. Saucke finished 3-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored. Leadoff batter Jaden Madrid went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs. Vic Alongi, Dylan Bliss, Zandyr Meakin and Matt Tallini all had a hit and run scored for the Trojans as well. TJ Kurtz improved to 4-0 after being credited with the win. Gates still came up short after stringing together five unanswered runs in the last two innings of the game. Zack Conn and Ryan Kilner both hit a homerun and finished the game with two hits. Jared Pelligrino went 2-for-3 with three RBI and Devin Georgetti had a hit, run and RBI. Vincent Lucyszyn finished with two hits and Charlie Healey added a single as well for Gates.

Olympia/Odyssey generated nine RBI on five hits and 12 walks to overtake Eastridge. Seven of the 12 walks came in the fifth inning, allowing the Griffins to take a 8-2 lead. Olympia’s first three batters each registered a hit and combined for four walks. Nolan Krautwurst drove in three and scored twice, Tyson Roundtree had two RBI and two runs while Tommy Rebis contributed a run. Dominic Braun and James Schlueter had a hit apiece. Schlueter accounted for three of Greece’s runs as well. Rebis went five innings on the mound, gave up two hits, an earned run and five walks while striking out four. For Eastridge, Tom Bareham went 2-for-4 with a run scored and RBI. Ryan Greenhagen and Brennen Russo each acquired a hit, RBI and run scored. Keenan Calenzo also had a hit in the contest.

WELLSVILLE (5-3) 7
Canandaigua used two four-run innings to down Wellsville in upsetting fashion. The Lions grabbed the lead with a three-run first and lost it in the third with the Braves’ first big inning. Wellsville tied it in the bottom half and took a two-run lead in the bottom of the sixth. Canandaigua’s final at-bats featured a three-run shot by Sam Bement to take a reasonable lead. Wellsville managed to get a run back but stranded the tying run on second. Jack Ciranni and Chris Moroz each had two hits for the Braves. Ciranni also crossed home plate twice. Braden Pawlicki collected a hit, run scored and two RBI while Joey Bognanno had a hit and run. AJ DeBalso created two runs and a RBI despite going 0-for-3. Sam Boock and Callum Outhouse had a hit for Canandaigua as well. Pawlicki threw five and two-thirds, allowed four hits, one earned run and four walks. Aaron Crunick closed out the final inning with two hits, a run and a strikeout.

Trailing by 12 in the fifth, Spencerport pulled off a miraculous comeback with 15 runs accumulating to a one-run victory over Brighton. Gianni Pellet and Devin Cannon led the offense with three hits apiece and nine combined runs. Andrew Simoncelli also registered three hits and added two runs in the process. Scott Zyra, Frank Grad, Christopher Hammerle and Shaun Cannon all finished with two hits and two runs scored. Sam Guelli finished with a hit for Spencerport as well. For the Bruins, Lucas Mark reached base in in all six of his plate appearances, finishing with a double, homerun and four walks. Ben Rosenbaum followed with a walk, four singles and three runs. AJ Marcella accounted for four Brighton runs and reached via three walks and a double. Jackson Heider finished with three doubles and a walk while Ellis Einbinder worked two singles and three walks.

In game two of the doubleheader, Devin Cannon suppressed Brighton’s offense over seven innings to prevent a replica of game one. He allowed 10 hits, a walk, three runs and set down seven on strikes. Three of his strikeouts came in the seventh to close out the game. Offensively, Cannon went 3-for-3 with a walk and run scored. Luis Bivone was the only other Ranger to have multiple hits with two. Shaun Cannon, Grad, Hammerle, Guelli and Simoncelli all had a hit in the contest. For Brighton, Einbinder smacked a single and a two-bagger that eventually led to a run. Bryce Maddison and Mowrer combined for four singles with two apiece. Ben Comeau, Marcella, Mark and Rosenbaum all finished with a hit, combining for four total bases.

Cameron Ritchie plated two with a double to cap a five-run fifth as Rush-Henrietta came from behind to win its second straight game. Trailing 5-3, Tobey Wright and Chris Sleeper started the rally with back-to-back singles. Evan Brock brought in the first run of the frame with a double. Sleeper came home with the tying run when Connor Nguyen reached on an error. Ritchie brought home Nguyen and Devlin with his second hit of the game. Ritchie started and struck out five over five innings. He allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and five walks. Joey Miron hurled two scoreless innings of relief. Brock, Sleeper and Wright each finished 2-for-4 on the day. Sleeper drove in two and scored twice. Wright scored twice. McQuaid’s Zach Allen went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a run scored. Will Taylor was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Arcadia picked up its second win in two days using a 13-hit explosion charged by Joseph Kleeh and Aiden Postema. Aaron Ford and Robert Walter combined for seven innings, six strikeouts and only two hits allowed.

McQuaid used two five-run innings and a four-run half to down Hilton by double digits. Tanner Degrazia spearheaded the offense with three hits, four RBI and three runs scored in four at-bats. Edward Hall, Aiden Stewart and Keeler Thomas all had two hits in the contest. Hall contributed three runs and a RBI, Stewart crossed home twice and drove in two runs while Thomas added one apiece. Wilson Brauer, Max Stuver and Zach Allen all had a hit for McQuaid as well. Will Taylor gave up two earned runs over six innings of work. He allowed five hits and set down six on strikes. For Hilton, Tyler Cerame, AJ Mandrycky, Preston Prince and Logan Batz all had a single hit. James Capellupo had two hits with a double. Carter Clark, Luke Schofield and Prince combined for three RBI in the loss.

Braden Consaul tripled home a pair of runs to highlight a five-run fourth inning as Fairport rallied for its third win in the past four games. Trailing 3-2, Cameron Kingsley led the inning with a walk. DJ Stoianovich followed with a single, and Zach Merlo brought home the first run of the inning with a base hit of his own. Consaul’s three-bagger gave Fairport a lead it did not surrender at 5-3. Connor Sackett singled to drive in Consaul and later scored on a wild pitch. Sackett finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Merlo was 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored. Julien Mendoza doubled, walked and drove in a run. Consaul struck out eight over 4.2 innings to pick up the win. Kingsley registered a save allowing one run on four hits over 2.1 innings. Penfield’s Gage Ziehl finished 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Nate Sobko went 3-for-4 with two RBI for the Patriots. Tommy DiFranco was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Sophomore Conner Benitez struck out seven and allowed two hits over four innings of work to pick up the win. Jake Smith finished 3-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored for Livonia. Alex Minnehan went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Alex Benitez, Jack Donnelly and Shawn Minnehan had two hits apiece in the win.

Northstar was driven by the pitching of Steve Merkel and Bryce Tyndall, combining for 11 strikeouts over seven innings. Merkel finished 2-for-4 with three RBI and a solo homer in the third. Tyndall tied the game with a sac fly in the seventh after being down three to enter. Northstar later claimed the lead on a passed ball and fended off Attica with a double play in its final chances.

As part of a 2-for-4 day, Cole Werner hit a two-RBI single to give Avon a lead it would not concede from the third inning forward. Jake Jones went four innings on the bump, striking out nine, allowing three hits, an unearned run and a walk. Christopher Kashorek closed out the seventh with a strikeout looking to strand runners on second and third.

Tied at two, Elba combined for 13 runs in the fifth and sixth innings to mercy rule Pembroke in its second win of the season. Jaykob Belluscio led the charge for Elba with a double and triple in the blowout innings. He finished the game 2-for-2 with two runs scored, five RBI and two walks. Angelo Penna followed with two hits in four chances, two runs scored and two RBI. Lancer starter Connor Scott played a big role in keeping Pembroke quiet. He threw five and two-thirds, gave up three hits, two unearned runs and set down nine batters on strikes. Zach Howard and Andrew Hare split four runs scored and two hits. Lucas Walls added a hit and RBI for Elba as well. Elba finished the game with seven hits but reached base on 13 free passes. Pembroke collected three hits. Nine errors were committed from both sides.

With an early 5-0 lead to support him, Sal Timpani struck out 12 through six and a third to down Dundee/Bradford at home. The starter gave HAC a 3-0 lead with a two-RBI single in the first inning. He was removed from the game with three hits and a run against. Alex Sassaman drilled his second homer of the year, a two-run shot, to push the lead to five. Cari Rogers generated five bases with a double and triple. Ben Friedberg finished with two hits while Jack Wheeler and Sassaman both crossed home twice. Shane DeCamp led Dundee/Bradford offensively with two hits and a run scored. Tyler Stiles picked up an RBI triple and closed out the final three innings on the mound in the loss.

Wyatt Patchett collected two hits including a double, two runs and a RBI to hand Pal-Mac its first loss of the year. Bryan Santiago followed going 2-for-3 with a run scored. Michael Bowler started and went four innings, surrendering four hits, a run and striking out five. He collected a hit and RBI for Geneva as well. For Pal-Mac, Alex Wootton finished 3-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored. Paul Goodness collected two hits and Ian Goodness added one with a RBI.

With both sides reaching double figures in hits, Gananda managed to pull away victorious with a clutch two-run single from Tyler Hathaway. Tied at seven with two men on via walks, Hathaway drilled a two-out single to left to drive in two. Sam O’Neil shutdown Midlakes in the final frame with a strikeout and two fly outs. Andrew Gleason led the Panther offense with three hits in four attempts. He drove in three and scored twice on the day. Hathaway finished the day with two hits and three RBI. Patrick Walsh generated three runs after reaching on two hits.
