Vanguard/Franklin/WOIS/NE Douglass scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth and four more in the bottom of the sixth to come back and beat SOTA/Monroe/SWW for the second time in as many days. SOTA held a 3-0 run before Franklin’s five-run fifth. Jalen Breedy, Justus Robinson and Jadiel DeJesus all had two hits for Franklin. Breedy scored a run and drove one in, Robinson scored once and drove in two more and DeJesus scored twice.

GREECE OLYMPIA/ODYSSEY (2-8) 9
Cooper Romich went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, a double and four RBI as Churchville-Chili held on for the win. Romich delivered the home run in the first inning and hit a two-run double in the second. The Saints got two more runs in that second inning, with one scoring on a wild pitch and the other on a fielder’s choice off the bat of Meister. Churchville-Chili scored another run in the third, two in the fourth and one in both the fifth and seventh. Greece Olympia/Odyssey got itself back into the game with a four-run third inning. Tommy Rebis scored on a balk, then Dominic Braun, James Schlueter and Nolan Krautwurst all drew walks with the bases loaded during the big inning. The game ended with the tying run on first base for Greece Olympia/Odyssey. Dylan Clark, Daniel Derleth and Brian Benedetto all had two hits for Churchville-Chili. Clark’s two hits were doubles and he also knocked in two runs, while Benedetto also drove in one run. Justin Meister hit a double and had an RBI, Zachary Miner had a single and RBI and Shane Pray and Anthony Shortino both had a hit. Tyson Roundtree led Greece Olympia/Odyssey with two hits and two RBI. Krautwurst, Rebis and Braun all had an RBI to go with two hits and Schlueter had a hit and an RBI. Christopher Coriano added a hit as well.

Tommy DiFranco threw a three-hit shutout as Penfield won its third game in a row. DiFranco struck out six and walked one over his seven innings of work. DeFranco retired 11 batters in a row from the end of the first inning to the fifth. A four-run third inning propelled Penfield’s offense. Peyton Pace scored on a wild pitch, Robbie Wing singled in a run and later scored on a misplay when he stole third and Andrew Olson hit an RBI single. Nate Sobko and Nick Ianniello also drove in a run for the Patriots. Pace had three hits, Gage Ziehl, Wing and Olson had two apiece and Ianniello, DiFranco, Sobko and Jack Josephson all notched a hit. Gianni Pellett recorded two of Spencerport’s three hits, with Joe Marcello getting the Rangers’ other knock.

Canandaigua scored all of its runs in the first five innings as the Braves won their second game in the last three. AJ DeBalso hit a sacrifice fly and Joey Bognanno hit a ground ball to score a run apiece in the first inning. DeBalso picked up his second RBI of the game with a single in the second inning. Bognanno singled home DeBalso in the fourth and Callum Outhouse smacked an RBI double in the fifth. Aidan Candelaria hit a single to drive in Aiden Postema in the top of the seventh inning for Greece Arcadia. DeBalso, Braden Pawlicki and Kenyon Mahoney all had two hits for the Braves. Bognanno, Outhouse and Chris Moroz added in a hit apiece. Carlos Fantauzzi threw five scoreless innings for Canandaigua with six strikeouts on two hits allowed and one walk. Fantauzzi retired the last 11 batters he faced. Aaron Crunick allowed an unearned run in his two innings of work. Postema, Candelaria, Jacob Tsymbal and Tyler Reichert had Greece Arcadia’s four hits.

Evan Vinci brought home Keenan Calenzo with the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fifth as Eastridge erased a four-run deficit and scored nine unanswered. Vinci finished 2-for-4 on the day with two RBI and a run scored. The junior hurled three and two-thirds scoreless innings of relief to pick up the win. He struck out three, walked two and allowed one hit. Calenzo paced a 17-hit attack with four hits. The Eastridge shortstop also walked once and scored four runs. Evan Brown went 2-for-4 with a double, four RBI and two runs scored. Noah Bowens doubled and had three hits in four at-bats while scoring a run. Ryan Greenhagen was 2-for-4 with a run scored. PJ Cutaia doubled and drove in a run. Tom Bareham had a hit and scored three runs. Jake Jaffarian was 1-for-2 with two RBI and a run scored. Batavia’s Cole Grazioplene went 2-for-4 with two triples and two RBI. Jesse Reinhart was 2-for-5 with a double. Luke Rogers went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Vincent Grazioplene drove in two going 2-for-3 on the night. Sawyer Siverling connected on a solo home run.

Brian Reinke and Ethan Ford combined on a three-hit shutout for Honeoye Falls-Lima. Reinke made it through the first six innings, allowing two hits and four walks. He also punched out nine batters. Xavier Carbonel singled home the game’s only run in the first inning. Reinke, who reached second on an error, scored the run. Jackson Newlands pitched a complete game for Pittsford Sutherland, striking out seven and allowing just the one unearned run. He retired six consecutive batters from the third to the fifth innings. Carbonel led the Cougars with two hits on the day, while Reece Joint, Reinke and Mike Principe all had one. Keeghan Cummings had two knocks for the Knights and was followed up by a hit from Ethan Hurwitz.

Brady Miller and Daniel Palumbo both had an RBI single in the sixth inning to help Pittsford Mendon break a 3-3 tie and take home the victory. Miller scored Tyler Procious, while Collin Clark scored on Palumbo’s hit. Pittsford Mendon scored one run in the second, third and fourth innings after Brockport scored three in the bottom of the first. Clark had a sacrifice fly in the second inning, Brendan Kane hit an RBI double in the third and Clark scored on a wild pitch in the fourth. Brockport got a two-run double from Will Cole in the first inning that was followed up by a sacrifice fly from Nick Johnson. Miller finished with two hits for the Vikings, while Palumbo, Kane, Procious, Clark and Aiden Muench also had a hit. Jae Tomanovich and Trey Wallman combined for four scoreless innings for Pittsford Mendon in relief. Cole added two hits and two RBI for Brockport. Devyn Scheidt, Cooper Hassell, Johnson, Ryan Judd and Ed Guerrero III also added a hit for the Blue Devils.

Garrett Wilson drove in three of Webster Thomas’ four runs as the Titans remained undefeated. Mitchell Kelly was driven in twice by Wilson, once on a single and once on a two-run home run. Max Heil singled home Colby Wilson in the third inning to extend Webster Thomas’ lead to 4-1. Paul Sofinski threw the first six innings for the Titans, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out four. Heil picked up the save with a scoreless seventh inning.

Mike Salina hit a walk-off single for Webster Schroeder. He drove in Alex Simons, who hit a two-out double in the eighth. Nick Thorpe was intentionally walked before Salina’s hit. Ryan Merkov got the win on the hill for Webster Schroeder after two innings of work. Merkov allowed an earned run on a walk and a hit while also recording two strikeouts. Braden Pumputis got the start for the Warriors and threw six innings, surrendering an earned run on five hits and a walk. Pumputis also punched out six batters. Chris Sleeper didn’t allow a hit through six innings for Rush-Henrietta. He walked three and allowed two unearned runs but struck out eight. Joe Grzeskowiak led the Royal Comets at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Two days after dropping an 8-5 decision to Monroe County Division I rival Gates-Chili, Fairport took the field on Wednesday against those same Spartans. Hilton scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie. Josh Wheeler knocked in the first two runs with a single, then Preston Prince followed that up with a two-run single of his own one batter later. Andrew Haugh scored Christian Brown in the bottom half of the sixth for Victor, but the Blue Devils couldn’t put together a comeback in the seventh. Carter Clark and Wheeler both drove in a run during the top of the fifth for the Cadets. Wheeler was the only player for Hilton to have multiple hits. Prince, James Capellupo, Michael Whelehan, Tyler Cerame and Drew Bateman also had knocks for the Cadets. Prince started on the mound, throwing 5.2 innings and allowing three unearned runs while striking out 10 batters. Luke Schofield threw the final 1.1 innings without a run. Brown had two hits to lead Victor, with Haugh, Danny Melendez and Jaden Moralle also registering a hit.

Five players collected two hits apiece as McQuaid put crooked numbers on the scoreboard in four separate innings to rebound from a loss to Penfield on Tuesday. Zach Allen and Aiden Stewart both doubled and finished 2-for-3 with two RBI. Allen scored twice while Stewart crossed home on one occasion. Max Stuver drove in a pair of runs with two hits and also scored once. Will Taylor went 2-for-4 with a run. Keeler Thomas was 2-for-3 with a run. Stuver drove in the game’s first run and later scored in three-run second as the Jesuit Knights took a lead they did not surrender.

CJ Mangone drove in the go-ahead run for Aquinas with a single in the top of the seventh then scored an insurance run. He plated Channing Owens with the RBI hit. Caleb Wilson added a three-run single in the fifth inning for the Li’l Irish, Owens scored on a passed ball in the first and Tyler Szalkowski hit a solo home run in the third. Mangone got the start for Aquinas and allowed five runs, one earned, over 4.1 innings. Of the 13 outs Mangone got, 12 were by strikeout. Szalkowski threw the remaining 2.2 innings and only allowed a walk while striking out three. Mangone finished with two hits, while Szalkowski, Wilson, Jake Wiepert and Tre’ Walker all had one.

Alex Wootton, Noah Brooks and Ian Goodness combined for four RBI for Palmyra-Macedon as the Raiders remained unbeaten. Wootten drove in two runs on two doubles, while Brooks knocked in one on three hits, including a double and two runs scored. Goodness also had two hits, drove in a run and scored twice. Paul Goodness, Dan Hooper and Rocco Marcellino all added a hit, with Paul Goodness and Hooper scoring twice and Marcellino scoring once. Paul Goodness hit a double and Marcellino hit a triple. Christian Morrison threw three scoreless innings in relief, striking out three and surrendering three hits. David Luke got the start for Palmyra-Macedon and the win, allowing four hits and two earned runs over four innings. Luke also struck out seven batters. Holden Dorr drove in both of Midlakes’ runs and notched two hits. Andrew Schoenfelder and Ryan Spooner both had a hit and scored. Cameron Deisering also added a hit for the Screaming Eagles.

Nathan Coleman scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh to help Wayne snap a three-game skid. Coleman stole second then was able to get home on the play. He reached base by singling. Wayne tied the game at three in the bottom of the sixth, with Alex Tomaselli driving in Ronnie Cassano on a single. Josh Armstrong and Nolan Schoenberger drove in a run apiece during Wayne’s two-run first. Tomaselli had three hits for the Eagles, while Coleman added two. Cassano and Schoenberger registered Wayne’s only other hits. Julius Teabout, Gabriel Caraballo and Preston Berrios drove in Newark’s runs. Teabout and Berrios collected two knocks apiece for the Reds, with Kyle Wood, Joshua Scotti, Jacob Stalker and Chaz Garling all notching one hit. Teabout struck out 10 batters over his 6.1 innings of work for Newark.

Gananda used a six-run third inning to knock Red Jacket from the ranks of the unbeaten. Tyler Hathaway got the inning started with a two-run double that plated Patrick Walsh and Shane Pickering. AJ Fioravanti, the next batter, singled home Andrew Gleason and Hathaway. Two batters later, Dylan Dohse hit an RBI single that scored Fioravanti. Luke Ciprich ended the scoring in the inning by reaching on an error. Sam O’Neil scored on the play. O’Neil and Walsh also drove in runs for the Blue Panthers. O’Neil finished the game with a team-best three hits. James Sibeto and Mason Pollot both had two hits and an RBI for Red Jacket. Andrew Damore also added two hits, while Kyle Damore had a hit and RBI. Trevor Hill, Aidan Griffith and Leah Batterson notched hits for the Indians as well.

Logan Bulman hit a walk-off single for Sodus, driving in Christopher Nikolevski. Nikolevski walked and stole a base before being driven in. Jedidiah Bodine and Zachary Marlow scored Sodus’ other runs in the fifth inning. Donovan Fillmore drove both of those runs in with a two-out single. He got himself into scoring position with a stolen base but was left at second. Fillmore and Bulman had two hits apiece and were the Spartans’ only hits of the game.

Bath-Haverling scored eight runs in the bottom of the fifth thanks to six errors from Dansville in the inning. The Rams also scored six runs in the third inning. Hunter Pickering and Zach Musso both registered two hits and scored three runs, but Pickering drove in three runs while Musso drove in one and stole two bases. Gavin Buckley and Nate Musso also scored twice and drove in two runs, but Buckley hit a double and walked and Nate Musso had two hits. AJ and Ethan Brotz both had two knocks with a run scored and an RBI, with AJ Brotz hitting a triple. Brendan Strong added in two hits and an RBI. Zach Musso got the save for Bath-Haverling, throwing 1.1 innings and allowing an unearned run. Ryan Carnevale went 2-for-2 with a run scored, an RBI, a double and a walk for Dansville. Shane Crandall added a hit and RBI for the Mustangs, while Cameron Cartwright had a double and run scored.

Warsaw had a six-run eighth inning to move over the .500 mark for the season. Eddie Stores and Lucas Cornell led Warsaw’s offense with three hits apiece. Stores finished a single shy of the cycle, hitting a three-run home run, triple and double to go with four runs scored and five RBI. Cornell hit a double, scored three times and drove in two runs. Patrick Klump and Ty Joy both added two hits, with Klump scoring twice and Joy driving in two runs. Michael Walton, Zach Bzduch and Nicholas Staley all had multi-hit games for Geneseo. Walton finished 3-for-5 with a double, Bzduch was 2-for-5 with two RBI and Staley was 2-for-4 with a triple, walk and run scored.

Sophie Amadori went 3-for-4 with five RBI to lead Fairport to its sixth victory in the last seven games. Morgan Kennedy and Nicole Allen both registered three hits for the Red Raiders, with Kennedy driving in three runs and Allen knocking in two. Molly Caliel also had three RBI to go with her two hits. Claudia Giambrone added two hits and two RBI and Bryn Holmes had a hit and two RBI. Erin Ozminkowski and Megan Chilbert both notched a hit as well, with Ozminkowski tallying an RBI as well. Madison Hicks drove in Webster Thomas’ only run of the game and had a hit. Isabella Giorgione, Samantha Wesley and Lilian Grimm also finished with a hit for the Titans.

Kaili Witherall threw a complete game with 10 strikeouts to lead Bath-Haverling to its second win in a row. Abby Spiess, Madison Coots and Caydence Spears all added three hits at the plate for the Rams. Spiess and Coots both scored three times, while Spears hit two doubles. Sidney Stone went 2-for-3 for Dansville. Kiersten Kennedy also had a hit for the Mustangs.

Lillian Mullen hit a grand slam for Canisteo-Greenwood in the Redskins’ third consecutive victory. It was Mullen’s only hit of the day, but she also was hit by two pitches and walked twice. Savannah Ambuski also went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Brielle McInroy threw a complete game with 10 strikeouts and two hits allowed. McInroy also went 1-for-2 at the plate.
