“Five-and-O is what matters,” the Eagles head coach said holding out an open hand with four fingers and a thumb representing each win before using a clenched grip to indicate the number of losses.

Jacob Zimmerman accumulated four touchdowns to lead Spencerport’s 56-7 road victory at Webster Thomas. The 5-foot-8 senior replaced Cameron Mesh as the starting quarterback and scored at all three levels with two rushing touchdowns, a touchdown pass and a pick-six. Zimmerman split his touchdowns between the first and third quarters as well. READ MORE.

It is hard to script a perfect start, but the LeRoy Knights couldn’t have been happier with their start Tuesday night. On the first play from scrimmage, senior Cody Lytle picked off Austin Williams and brought it back to the Warsaw/Letchworth 14-yard line. Running back, Nate Andrews brought the Knights down to the one-yard line, and fullback Jack Tonzi punched it in to give LeRoy a 7-0 lead just after two minutes of play. READ MORE.

Brighton moved above .500 on senior night behind quarterback Brennan Clasgens’ 239 total yards and four touchdowns. Clasgens completed 6-of-10 passes for 114 yards and a touchdown, and carried the ball 18 times for 125 yards and three touchdowns. Senior linebacker Sam Tourangeau led the Bruins defensively with 12 tackles and an interception. Brighton remained undefeated at home this spring season.

East picked up its fourth straight win of the season behind quarterback Levi Wright’s three touchdowns. Wight completed 8-of-13 for a total of 166 yards. TJ Gillam hauled in four passes for 55 yards and a touchdown. Running back Yasiir Daniel accumulated 142 yards on the ground on 15 carries and reached the end zone twice. Evan French added a 27-yard field goal for the Eagles. For Greece Olympia/Odyssey, Luke Strong had seven catches for 121 yards and a touchdown alongside a team-high seven tackles. Xavier Hurell carried the ball 12 times for 90 yards and a touchdown to go along with his six tackles on the defensive side.

Freshman quarterback Jayden Rapp scored one touchdown and connected with Aidan McDonald for another as Athena won its second straight game. Quamel Jarvis also returned an interception for a touchdown.

Dion Mather completed 22 of 31 passes for 417 yards and five touchdowns including a pair of first-quarter scores as ER/Gananda won for the second time in three games. Mather connected with a Chaunsey Gilbert on an 18-yard strike before combining with Adrian Letta on a 75-yard catch for a 14-0 lead. After allowing a touchdown, Mather hit Manny Sepulveda on 74 and 56-yard touchdown completions to help ER/Gananda to 36-14 halftime lead. Sepulveda finished the night with nine catches for 217 yards. Letta had five receptions for 112. Jerry Brongo had seven catches for 70 yards and a touchdown. Nick Ricci made nine tackles including two for a loss to go along with a sack. Wayland-Cohocton’s Ben Teed scored on a thee-yard run.
