Pavilion and York are all too familiar with each other, as they have already met four times in the last two seasons. On Friday, they will square off for the fifth time to decide who the 2021 Section V Class C2 Girls’ basketball champion is. Here’s the breakdown:

How they got here: Pavilion beat No. 8 Red Creek 68-44, then took down No. 4 Bolivar-Richburg 53-28.
York defeated No. 2 Oakfield-Alabama 52-47 and No. 3 Dundee/Bradford 45-35. Both of the Knights’ wins were on the road.
Last time they met: Pavilion’s two closest games this season were against York, as the Golden Gophers won 54-46 at home and 47-29 on the road.
