
BATAVIA BLUE DEVILS (Class B1)
Last season: Finished 14-6, lost in Class B1 quarterfinals of sectionals to Newark.

Top returners: Zack Gilebarto (5-foot-11 Sr. Guard, 19 ppg, 1st team All Monroe County/ 2nd team AGR); Stone Siverling (6-foot-3 Sr. Center/Forward, 10 ppg/9 rebounds); Alex Hale (5-foot-11 Sr. G, 7 ppg)
Top newcomers: Faraz Idrees (5-foot-10 Sr. G); Luke Rogers (5-foot-10 Sr. G)
Outlook: “We only return 3 players that played significant minutes last year. We will be a small but scrappy team. We are looking to play up tempo on both offense and defense. For us to be successful we need to rebound effectively and limit our turnovers.”

EASTRIDGE LANCERS (Class A2)
Last season: Finished 19-5, won Class A1 sectionals, lost to East in regional qualifier.

Outlook: “Lost all starters from last year’s team. Returning Mykael Miller who saw significant minutes last year. Looking for contributions from seniors David Holmes and Hector Jimenez. New contributors will be Emmanuel Leftenant, Cequan Wester, and Evan Brown. Have four sophomores on the team, and should get some contributions from a couple of them.”

GREECE ODYSSEY LEOPARDS (Class B1)
Last season: Finished 14-7, lost in first round of Class B1 sectionals to Hornell.
Coach: Gamal Gilchrist (This will be 1st season, previously coached JV at Greece Olympia)

GREECE OLYMPIA SPARTANS (Class B1)
Last season: Finished 2-20, lost in Class B1 quarterfinals of sectionals to Waterloo.
Coach: Joey Tisa (7th season)
Top returners: Nate Miller III (6-foot-3 Sr. G/F, 10.1 ppg/5.6 rpg); Ricky Hill (5-foot-11 Jr. Guard, 1.5 ppg/3.1 apg/1 spg); Yasin Omar (6-foot Sr. G, 7 ppg/2.3 spg)
Top newcomers: Tamareion Roundtree (6-foot-4 So. Forward); Jovon Barfield (5-foot-9 So. Point Guard); Luke Strong (6-foot-1 Sr. Forward); Jahod Faison (5-foot-10 Jr. Guard); Darnell Williams (5-foot-11 Sr., averaged 9.6 ppg/3.3 apg/ 4.5 rpg/1.6 spg as a Sophomore)
Outlook: This will be Coach Tisa’s deepest and most athletic team since coaching at Greece Olympia.With the return of senior Darnell Williams along with leading score Nate Miller III the Spartans have two proven scores in the line-up. Ricky Hill, Jovon Barfield, and Deverin Dowdell give the Spartans plenty of perimeter shooters which should allow for sophomore Tamareion Roundtree plenty of space to operate in the post. The Spartans have the ability to go with a 10 man rotation, which will allow Olympia to utilize different aspects of the offense.

HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA COUGARS (Class A2)
Last season: Finished 10-11, lost in Class A2 quarterfinals of sectionals to Wayne.
Coach: Kevin Neenan (19th season, 206-164 career record)
Top returners: Patrick Lustyk (6-foot-4 Sr. G/F, 22.2 ppg/8 rpg, made 41 threes, 1st team All Monroe County); Josh Vogt (6-foot-4 Sr. Guard, 13.2 ppg/5 rebounds, made 42 threes); Reece Joint (6-foot Sr. Guard, 4 ppg/4 rpg); Nolan Smith (6-foot-5 So. Forward, 7.4 ppg/6 rpg); Mason Wanzenried (5-foot-9 Sr. Guard); Preston Huff (6-foot-2 Sr. Forward)
Top newcomers: JT Killenbec (5-foot-9 140 lbs Jr. Guard); Ben Carson (6-foot 160 lbs Jr. Guard); Tyler Emerson (6-foot-5 190 lbs Jr. Forward)
Outlook: “We have a good mix of experience and newcomers who are working hard to improve daily. We have 3 – 3 yr varsity players – Patrick Lustyk, Josh Vogt, and Reece Joint who we will look to lead the way this year. We hope to play an uptempo style on offense, as we have some guys who can score in different ways. Defense and rebounding are two big keys for us as we go forward, which will help us be able to compete every night, and contend at the end of the season.”
