Jaworski and Screen earn Patriot League weekly honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. –Lafayette senior guard Justin Jaworski claimed Patriot League GEICO Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, and Bucknell freshman center Andre Screen received rookie of the week honors when the League office announced weekly accolades on Wednesday.

Jaworski picked up the second Patriot League Player of the Week honor of his career after averaging 32.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game to help the Leopards split a pair of games against Lehigh over the weekend.

Screen posted averages of 9.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 block per game while shooting .563 (9-for-16) from the floor in two games against Navy to receive his first rookie of the week honor.

Colgate senior guard Jordan Burns, Holy Cross senior guard Austin Butler, Lehigh senior guard Marques Wilson and Navy senior guard Cam Davis each received an honorable mention for their performances during the first week of the League schedule.

The Patriot League men’s basketball players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s sports information director, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.
