Starter Jack Leahy (RIT) and closer Rojo Prarie (William and Mary) combined for seven strikeouts without a walk between them to shut out DP Orange. Leahy fanned five batters and allowed nine hits over six innings of work. Prarie stepped in for the final inning, struck out two, allowed no hits, and earned the save.
James Cronin (St. Lawrence) went three-for-four at the plate, doubling and scored a run. David Bermudez (Rider) and Cam Vozel (Gannon) tallied the other two Snow Cats runs. Vozel also collected an RBI, as did Gil Merod (Ithaca) and Patrick Blackall (RIT). Two more Snow Cats joined James Cronin in finding extra bases- Matt Smith (Ithaca) slugged a triple and Branden Myers (St. Bonaventure) connected for a double.
DP Orange starter Will Taylor pitched a complete game, striking out six Snow Cats. Aiden Stewart and Nick Ianniello both doubled for DP Orange.

Patrick Blackall (RIT) plated James Cronin (St. Lawrence) and Cam Vozel (Gannon) with a fourth-inning double as the Snow Cats erased a one-run deficit on the way to their fifth straight win. Blackall extended his RBI streak to five game and has a team-high 13 RBI on the season. Cronin doubled, stole third, then came home on a Mark Trotta (William and Mary) hit in the sixth. Trotta’s .513 batting average leads the ICBL.
Ronald Loomis (Oswego) pitched all seven innings for the Snow Cats, holding DP Orange to three hits and fanning seven. The six-foot-four righty had four 1-2-3 innings and only found himself in trouble once in the third as Keeler Thomas’s double sent a man home and put a runner on third. A double play made by Branden Myers (St. Bonaventure) and Garrett Bell (Ithaca) on the next at-bat ended the inning. With the doubleheader sweep, the Snow Cats increased their lead in the ICBL West Division to 2.5 games over the Cardinals. Those teams play twice in the remaining nine games.
DP Orange’s lone scorer CJ Phelps reached an error, headed to second on Max Stuver’s single, then came home on a double from Thomas. DP Orange starter Nick Ianniello pitched five innings, striking out five. Wilson Brauer struck out one in one inning.

DP GREEN (1-11) 0
Jared Drake and Marty Williams combined on a one-hitter, and the Monarchs notched their second shutout win of the season. Drake started and struck out five over four innings for his second win of the season. Williams fanned four over three innings to pick up the save.
Andrew Sanchez (Mercyhurst University) doubled, drove in a run and scored twice more to lead the Monarchs offense. Justin LoTemple (Alfred State) went 1-for-3 with a double, and RBI and a run. Nick Serce (Alfred State) connected on a solo shot, his first home run of the season. Ray Specht (Niagara County CC) worked three walks and scored a run. Gavin Moore (Alfred State) drove in a run and scored another. Frankie Fernandes (Monroe CC) walked and scored run. Lucas Sulimowicz (Finger Lakes CC) was 1-for-2 with a run scored. The Monarchs downed the Flyin’ Fish 10-0 on July 19 for the other shutout victory.
Keenan Calenzo walked and had the lone DP Green hit.

Lucas Jackson (Onondaga CC) connected on a bases-clearing double, and the Monarchs rallied to win their third straight. Trailing 3-0 in the second inning, Jackson highlighted a five-run frame with his second double of the season, and the Monarchs did not trail again. John Gassler (New York University) struck out seven over three innings of relief work to pick up his second win of the season.
The Monarchs broke open the game when they pushed across four runs in the fifth and then again in the sixth. Lucas Sulimowicz (Finger Lakes Community College) paced a 14-hit attack going 3-for-4 including his league-leading seventh and eight doubles of the season. Sulimowicz drove in three runs and scored another. Gavin Moore (Alfred State) tripled, went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs scored. Justin LoTemple (Alfred State) was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Nick Serce (Alfred State) singled, walked, scored a run and drove in another. Ryan Hill (Monroe CC) drove in a run with two hits. Ray Specht (Niagara County CC) singled and scored twice. Christian Montanez (Roger Williams) singled, walked twice and crossed home on two occasions. Hayden Ewell (So. New Hampshire) singled and scored. With the win, the Monarchs took a one-game lead over the Blue Jays (9-6) in the ICBL East Division. The Monarchs and Blue Jays do not face each other again this season.
Keenan Calenzo paced the DP Green offense with two hits and two runs scored. James Stanek went 2-for-3 with a run scored. Gage Ziehl singled and scored a run. Preston Prince and DJ Stoianovich collected an RBI apiece.
