Philip Ferranti (Mercyhurst University) extended his hitting streak to eight games with three base knocks to lead the Orioles to their third straight win. The 6-foot-1 catcher drove in a pair of runs and crossed the plate three times. Ferranti has 10 hits in his last four contests and an team-high 11 RBI.
Zach Carpin (Clarkson University) scored three runs and Jorge Oropeza (Finger Lakes Community College) scored twice. Aiden Wallace gathered his second hit of the season along with his first RBI and stolen base. Maxx Countryman (Finger Lakes Community College) hit a pinch-hit, three-run shot in the sixth.
Sean Flannery (Monroe Community College) had two hits, including a double, two runs scored and a RBI. Tyler Henshaw (Brockport High School) and Jaret Murray (SUNY Oneonta) combined for a one-hit shutout. Henshaw fanned five in five frames of one-hit ball for the win. Murray struck out two in the final two innings.
For the Flyin’ Fish, Dylan Mackenzie (SUNY Cortland) was the only player to get a hit. The game was called due to mercy rule.

The Flyin’ Fish used a three-run first inning to bounce back for the doubleheader split. Down 1-0, Ryan Ballard (Tompkins Cortland Community College) drew a bases-loaded walk to bring in Tyler Griggs (Central Arizona College). Jake Humes (Onondaga Community College) singled in two for a 3-1 lead.
Patrick Xander (Penn State University) struck out five in 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball. The 5-foot-10 left-hander limited the damage to four hits and two walks. Xander is now 2-1 with a 2.71 earned run average in 20 2/3 innings. Trevor Robinson (Tompkins Cortland Community College) earned the save by striking out the only batter he faced.
Christian Blatter (Mercyhurst University) and Humes both collected a hit apiece. Griggs, Zach Harter (Finger Lakes Community College), Luke McNamara (Rochester Institute of Technology) and Sam Werth (Alfred State College) each scored a run.
For the Orioles, Troy Leibert (Niagara County Community College) had two of the team’s four hits. Kenny Murphy (Finger Lakes Community College) and Jorge Oropeza (Finger Lakes Community College) both collected a single. The team’s lone run came via Sean Flannery’s two stolen bases in the top of the first. An error allowed the shortstop to reach home.

Frank McCabe’s (Hilbert College) go-ahead single in the seventh inning lifted the Cardinals to their fifth consecutive victory. Joshua Ferris (Finger Lakes Community College) was credited with the victory after tossing two innings with two strikeouts.
Matt Kerchemski (Erie Community College) and Santino Rosso (Hofstra University) combined for three hits and six RBI. Daniel Tirabassi (University of Rochester) produced three base knocks and crossed the plate once. Tyler Coy (Virginia Commonwealth University), Stephen Kemp (Medaille College), Nicholas Nealon (Niagara County Community College) and Will Porter (Rochester Institute of Technology) each finished with a hit.
Jackson DeJohn (St. Bonaventure University) compiled 10 strikeouts in five innings of three-run ball.

Nolan Hicks and Trent Wasserman (Niagara County Community College) combined for four hits and three RBI as the Blue Jays rallied for five runs in the final three innings.
Amaury Samalot (Alfred State College) and Jason Story (Utica College) both had a base knock. Noah Campanelli (St. John Fisher College) and Owen VanNewkirk (Misericordia University) both scored a run.
Hayden Smith (Northeastern University) tossed four innings of two-run ball with two strikeouts. Tyler Smith (Monroe Community College) closed out the final three innings with five strikeouts, two hits, a walk and the victory.
For the Cardinals, Stephen Kemp (Medaille College) finished with two base knocks. Tyler Coy (Virginia Commonwealth University), Joshua Ferris (Finger Lakes Community College), Nicholas Nealon (Niagara County Community College), Santino Rosso (Hofstra University) and Daniel Tirabassi (University of Rochester) had a hit apiece.
