Webster Schroeder’s dual athlete: Jack VonAhnen

Jack VonAhnen excelled as a dual athlete at Webster Schroeder High School last year. On the baseball diamond, he registered 18 hits in 55 at-bats (.327 batting average) in 2019, including three triples and a home run. VonAhnen scored 12 runs and produced seven RBI as well. His plate production led the Warriors to nine victories, including a 3-1 regular season win over eventual state champion McQuaid. The Warriors were a No. 8 seed in Class AA.

On the football field, VonAhnen hauled in 21 receptions for 382 yards (18.2 yards per catch) and four touchdowns as a wideout this past season. Defensively as a cornerback, he made 29 tackles, picked off two passes and forced a fumble. VonAhnen’s production led the Warriors to three wins and the No. 4 seed in Class AA.

VonAhnen will continue his baseball career at the SUNY Brockport.
