Pittsford Sutherland freshman Ellie Bergin was the leading scorer on a Knights team that had four freshman and an eighth grader on the roster. Bergin averaged 15.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.7 blocks for Pittsford Sutherland.

Bergin scored a team-high 328 points on 38 percent (120-for-315) shooting from the field. The freshman shot 20.4 percent from three (10-for-49) and 58 percent (78-for-135) from the free throw line.

Bergin put it all together offensively in the final game, scoring a season-high 29 points against Brockport in sectionals. In addition to being the team’s leading scorer, the 5-foot-7 guard was also her team’s leading rebounder at 8.3 per game (174). She had the second most assists, steals and blocked shots.

A Monroe County Division IV first team member, Bergin suits up for the WNY Lakers during the AAU season.
