LeRoy junior Bryn Luckey led the Oatkan Knights to an 8-14 record and a sectional victory. Luckey averaged 12.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 4.0 steals and 1.8 deflections during her penultimate season.
The 5-foot-3 guard improved her efficiency, going from 29.4 percent (51-for-189) from the field as a sophomore to 51.9 percent (104-for-211) this past season. Her long-range accuracy also improved, going from 12.9 percent (9-for-70) on three point attempts to 21.6 percent (11-for-51).
Luckey scored a season-high 27 points on multiple occasions. The first time she pulled off the feat was in a regular season loss to Danvsille. In addition to her 27 points, she grabbed a rebound, dished out three assists, recorded nine deflections, snatched six steals and blocked a shot. In LeRoy’s sectional victory over Attica, Luckey struck again, notching 27 points with a made three, six assists, three deflections and seven steals.
The Oatkan Knights’ scoring leader will have a shot at reaching the 1,000-point club during her senior campaign.
