Gates-Chili sophomore Paris Anthony was one of the Spartans’ leaders on the court as the team improved from 7-14 in 2018-19 to 18-3 in 2019-20. Anthony averaged 17 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.9 steals.
Anthony drained 1.9 threes per contest, which helped her finish second in the Monroe County Division II in scoring. She used that inside-out game to put up some gaudy scoring numbers during the season. She netted a career-high 38 points against Spencerport, thanks in part to making five of her six three point attempts in the game. The first-team all-league guard also scored 25 points against Canandaigua, 21 against Victor and 17 against Webster Schroeder.
The 5-foot-7 guard registered seven rebounds against Webster Schroeder and eight assists against Canandaigua.
In addition to being named to the Monroe County Division II First Team, Anthony was also named team MVP. She suits up for the Syracuse Royals during AAU season and has two more seasons to improve at Gates-Chili.
