RJ Wilkins helped lead the Penfield Patriots to an 11-9 record this past season, a six-win improvement over the previous year. The junior averaged 13.1 points per game and shot 47.2 percent (94-of-199) from the field, 37.5 percent (36-of-96) from the 3-point-line, and 64.9 percent (37-of-57) from the free-throw line.
The 6-foot-4-inch guard ranked second in scoring in the Patriots’ lineup topping 15 points in seven games, including four 20-point performances.

On January 3rd, Wilkins capped a dramatic Penfield comeback with a 3-pointer. Trailing by 15 with 1:19 left in the game, Penfield rallied and Wilkins, who finished with 23 points, hit a deep three at the buzzer to beat Wayne. The buzzer-beater handed Wayne its first loss of the season by a score of 60-59.
Wilkins poured in 21 points in Penfield’s sectional loss against Gates-Chili. The junior added two separate 20-point performances against Rush-Henrietta with the two teams splitting the season series.
Along with his scoring, Wilkins averaged 4.4 rebounds per contest. On the season, Wilkins added 2.0 assists, 1.7 steals and .8 deflections. The guard averaged 30.4 minutes a game and had a total plus/minus of +63 on the season.
Wilkins will enter his senior season as a captain for the Penfield Patriots. Last Spring, Wilkins played on the RAP Penfield AAU team. He also plays volleyball in the Fall.
