Sydney Postell finished the season scoring double figures for a Churchville-Chili squad (11-11) that added three wins over the previous year. The freshman center averaged 10.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 1.4 deflections and 0.9 blocks in 27.5 minutes per game.
The 5-foot-10 forward was efficient from the field, scoring 217 points on 38.0 percent (89-for-234). She went 82-for-216 (38 percent) from inside the arc and 7-for-18 (38.9 percent) on three-point shots. Postell also ended with a 39.5 percent effective field goal percentage. Additionally, she shot 62.7 percent (32-for-51) from the free throw line.
Postell was a force on the glass, especially on the offensive side. The freshman averaged 3.0 offensive rebounds and 3.2 defensive boards. She also did her job on the defensive end of the court deflecting 1.4 intended passes and collecting 1.4 steals per game. Postell also swatted away 0.9 shots per game. The freshman did this while averaging just 2.2 fouls per game.
Postell will be coming back for her sophomore season at Churchville-Chili after competing with the WNY Lady Lakers in the offseason. She will look to improve on her Monroe County Division II Second-Team place in the 2020-21 season.
