Matt Record’s 35 points led Red Jacket to a sixth-straight win and into the C1 title game. Record also had five rebounds and two blocks, while Chase Rizzo put up 17 points, seven rebounds and two blocks for the Indians. Andrew DaMore tacked on 10 points and nine rebounds for RJ. Byron-Bergen was paced by Alexander Brumstead and Chad Green, who each scored 16 points. Nicolas Baubie tacked on 14 points for the Bees. Red Jacket will take on Marcus Whitman in Friday’s final at Blue Cross Arena.

Three double-digit scorers led Marcus Whitman over Gananda. Aidan Royston scored 19 points for the Wildcats, while Noah Hildreth put up 12 points and Jordan Lahue added on 11 points. MW took a 34-27 lead into halftime before the teams each scored 40 points in the second half. The duo of Jerry Brongo and Andrew Gabbard led the fight for Gananda, as Brongo scored 26 points and Gabbard scored 24 points. MW advances to Friday’s final at Blue Cross Arena, where it will take on Red Jacket. Horace Betts IV and JC Walker combined for seven of Lyon’s 11 fourth-quarter points as the defending Class C2 champions held on for a 62-60 win. Walker made a pair of mid-range jumpers – one from the foul line and another from the left wing. Betts knocked down three free throws. The Lions’ defense forced two turnovers and three missed field goals in eight possessions during the last two and a half minutes of the game. Mitchel Hockey hit another three early in the fourth quarter to give Perry a 43-41 lead it did not relinquish. It was also part of a 15-2 run in which Carson DeVinney made back-to-back shots, Michael Hockey nailed a right-wing three-pointer and Michael John Grover finished a contact layup. One game after netting a career-high, Caledonia-Mumford senior Vin Molisani was at it again Monday night. The senior guard scored 12 of his game-high 32 points in the first half to pace the top-seeded Raiders to a 67-43 victory over No. 4 Lyndonville in Section V Class C3 semi-final action from Genesee Community College. Molisani, who scored 32 in Cal-Mum’s 85-54 win over Wheatland-Chili on Friday, connected 15 times from the floor Monday night. READ MORE.

Riley Stella reached a career scoring milestone midway through the first quarter. With the game on line, the York senior showed his playmaking abilities. Jonathan Jensen and Brady Brandow each scored 16 points to lead Avoca. Jensen also pulled down 12 rebounds, while Devin Stowe had 10 points and eight assists for the Tigers. Tristian Stark stuffed the stat sheet for Avoca with six points, six rebounds and seven assists, while Thomas Derick and Pacey Hopkins each scored nine points. Jack Reynolds and Dom Tripp each scored eight points for Honeoye. Avoca will take on Genesee Valley in Saturday’s final at Blue Cross Arena. After trailing for over 29 minutes, a late-game comeback propelled Genesee Valley over Batavia Notre Dame. The Jaguars took the lead for good with 21 seconds remaining, when a steal by Brock Ellsessor led to a transition layup for Cody Schneider. Schneider finished with a game-high 27 points, including 10 points in a fourth quarter that saw the Jaguars outscore the Irish, 23-17. Evan Windus added 17 points for GV, while Trevor Clark scored eight points. ND’s three-point shooting kept it afloat for much of the game, as the Irish hit seven triples, including five from Mark Sanders, who led the Irish with 19 points. Gabe MacDonald added 14 points for ND, while Colin McCulley scored 11 points. GV will take on Avoca in Saturday’s final at Blue Cross Arena.
