Oswego, NY – The SUNY Brockport women’s basketball team ended the regular season on a high note, defeating Oswego 83-71. Brockport concludes the season with a record of 11-14 overall and 8-10 in conference play, and will now prepare for the SUNYAC Tournament next week.
Kylee Rosbrook was unstoppable in the game, putting up a career-high 30 points. She notched a double-double grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds as well, all while shooting 57.1% from the field.
Chelsea Henry (Greece Athena) went 8-for-11 at the charity stripe, finishing with 14 points and three steals. Anna Felice scored 11 points, while Erin Radack stuffed the stat sheet with six points, six rebounds, and six assists.
After trailing by just three points after the first quarter, the Green and Gold put up 27 points in the second to take the lead before halftime. Rosbrook scored 22 of her points in the opening half of play, helping Brockport secure a 42-39 edge at the half.
Oswego was able to keep it close, and even took a one-point lead halfway through the third quarter. Freshman Anna Felice would go on to hit three big shots from beyond the 3-point arc to give the Golden Eagles a 60-51 lead heading into the fourth. They led by as many as 13 points in the final period, as Brockport held the lead for the rest of the game to take the eight-point win on the road.
The Brockport reserves did their part, outscoring the Oswego bench, 24-0. The team had 18 assists on 27 field goals made and shot a healthy 19-for-24 at the foul line.
The Golden Eagles will be on the road for the first round of the SUNYAC Tournament next week, as they head to Geneseo. On Tuesday, February 25th Brockport will take on Geneseo, with tip-off scheduled for 7 pm.
