In a back-and-forth bout, Spencerport managed to come from behind and down Brockport with three goals in the third. Luc Fedele, Mark Neu and AJ Giannavola led the Ranger offense with three points apiece. Down 4-3 early in the third, Jason Uebelacker immediately knotted the score at four on a feed from Neu. Assisted by Giannavola, Fedele found the back of the net for his second of the night and Ryan Plouffe buried an empty-net goal to eliminate Brockport. Mathew Gemerek gave the Blue Devils a 1-0 lead five minutes into the first, but Plouffe, Neu and Fedele capitalized three minutes apart to give Spencerport a 3-1 lead going into the second. By the 2:12 mark into the period, Brockport had retaken the lead. Michael Holding shortened the deficit a minute and a half in and assisted on Dominic Viola’s game-tying goal 19 seconds later. He collected another assist on Jeremiah Rausch’s third of the playoffs to give Brockport the lead on the power-play. Viola and Evan Bovee both collected an assist while junior goalie Joseph Volpe stopped 35-of-40 shots for the Blue Devils. Spencerport’s Andrew Simoncelli and AJ Hussar each finished with a helper. Rachel Brase made 24 saves on 28 shots as well. Spencerport will play Canandaigua in the Class B semi-finals.

Lucas Schwartz and Anthony Holtz scored twice and contributed an assist while Carter McWilliams finished with four points to power Canandaigua through to the semi-final round. Holtz opened scoring with a lone first period tally on McWilliams’ first of three assists on the night. The Fighting Irish tied the game early in the second with Alexander Totten’s power-play tally, but the Braves exploded for four goals to maintain an advantage going into the third. Dominick Spychalski helped Canandaigua regain the lead less than a minute later. Schwartz and Holtz pushed the gap to three after two consecutive power-play conversions. McWilliams closed the period with his only goal of the night that stemmed from Oliver Harvieux. In the third, Schwartz added another power-play goal and CJ Cangemi scored with under three minutes to go to finalize the score at 7-1. Daniel Coffey and Matt McMullen both finished with an assist for Canandaigua. Cade Chesler also made 18 saves on 19 shots for the Braves. For Notre Dame Batavia, Maxwell Hutchins and Wyatt Krolczyk collected an assist apiece while Alexander Hunt turned away 38-of-45 shots in the loss. Canandaigua will play Spencerport in the Class B semi-finals.

After Penfield took the lead in the third, Joel Braunschweig scored the game-tying and game-winning tallies to send McQuaid Jesuit to the Class A semi-finals against Fairport. Braunschweig ended the game two and a half minutes into overtime on feeds from Owen Kopacz and Rowan Palen. He tied the game with 6:18 remaining in the third period. Ben Pearson and Palen both collected an assist on the play. Trailing since 8:43 in the first period, Billy Kernan scored twice in two minutes to give Penfield its first and only lead of the game. Kernan knotted the score at one on the power-play and pushed the score to 2-1 by the six minute mark in the third. Nathan Audi and Kiernan Gately picked up an assist apiece while Owen Fox registered two helpers on Kernan’s two goals. The Knights’ Giuseppe Fiorillo scored the first goal of the game on a dish from Luke Masaschi. McQuaid’s senior netminder David Battisti made 34 saves on 36 shots thrown at him. Brandon Holmes stopped 15-of-18 shots for Penfield in the loss.
