ROCHESTER, NY — The RIT (6-8, 4-3 Liberty League) women’s basketball team beat Bard College (5-9, 0-7 Liberty League) 85-57 in Liberty League action from Clark Gym Saturday afternoon.
RIT led 30-13 after the first quarter, and led 49-22 at halftime. Each team scored 18 points in the third quarter, while the Tigers outscored the Raptors 18-17 in the fourth quarter. Kaleesha Joseph (Somerville, MA/Prospect Hill Academy Charter) led RIT with 21 points and a career-high 14 rebounds. Brooke Stanley (Minnetonka, MN/Benilde-St. Margaret’s) finished with 18 points, while Sabrina Wolfe (Troy, NY/Troy) finished with 14 points.
Jess Rylander led Bard with 28 points on 10-of-14 shooting. Christine Kiser finished with 12 points for the Raptors who shoe 34.4 percent from the floor.
RIT shot 46.9 percent from the floor on 38-of-81 shooting. The Tigers made 7-of-18 from beyond the arc, and went 2-of-6 from the foul line. The Tigers held a 53-33 rebounding edge.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, Jan. 24, at St. Lawrence University beginning at 5:30 p.m.
