HAMILTON, N.Y. – Four Colgate University players scored 13 or more on Wednesday night, and the Raiders pulled away for a 92-70 Patriot League victory over Loyola University Maryland on the Raiders’ Cotterell Court.

Will Rayman led all players with 18 points for Colgate (12-4 overall, 3-0 Patriot League) as the Raiders turned a 40-32 halftime lead into a 27-point lead less than 12 minutes into the second half.

Loyola (9-7, 1-2) led for parts of the early-going, and an Isaiah Hart jumper with 8:22 left in the first half made it 20-20, but Colgate scored the next seven points and never trailed from that point.

Hart and KaVaughn Scott each had season-highs of 17 points to lead Loyola, while Kenneth Jones came off the bench to score 11. Golden Dike and Jaylin Andrews each scored nine, and Brent Holcombe added seven for Loyola. Andrews led Loyola with six rebounds.

Jack Ferguson (17), Rapolas Ivanauskas (15) and Jordan Burns (13) also scored in double-figures for Colgate.

Loyola matched Colgate’s 46 percent mark from the field, but the Raiders converted 16 of 39 3-pointers, while Loyola had eight total.

Loyola returns to the court on Saturday, January 11, when it hosts Lafayette College in a 1 p.m. start in Reitz Arena.
