BUFFALO, NY – After another solid performance on the court in Buffalo’s win over Dartmouth, freshman guard Dyaisha Fair has been named MAC East Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
This is the second weekly honor for Fair and the third for the Bulls this season.
Fair flirted with a triple double as she poured in a game-high 22 points, including 7-of-8 from the charity stripe, to go along with nine rebounds, seven assists and four steals to help lead Buffalo to a 73-49 victory over Dartmouth in UB’s non-conference finale on Sunday.
The Rochester, NY native currently ranks third in the nation in scoring at 23.6 points per game. She also ranks third in field goal attempts (227), fifth in three pointers made per game (3.55) and seventh in final points (260). Fair has scored in double figures in 11 straight games, surpassing the 20-point mark nine times.
Fair averaged 33.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game during her senior season. She topped the 2,000 point mark for her high-school career.
The Bulls open Mid-American Conference play on Saturday, January 4, as they travel to Oxford, Ohio to take on the Miami (OH) RedHawks in a 2pm contest.
