Dyllon Scott posted two double-doubles, boosting Penfield in a pair of come-from-behind wins. Keenan Robertson totaled 38 points and 23 rebounds for Irondequoit in a two-win week. Jacob Shadders led Pittsford Mendon with a double-double in the Vikings’ only game of the week. Patrick Lustyk followed up an impressive performance with a career night in a split week for Honeoye Falls-Lima.
Monroe County recognized these four as the Players of the Week (POTW) for December 9-December 14 in their respective division.
In a buzzer-beater finish for Penfield, Scott scored 22 points, pulled down 11 rebounds, tallied three blocks and handed out four assists to help earn Monroe County Division I POTW . The senior’s dominant performance allowed Penfield to capitalize on an open shot at the buzzer, winning the game 62-60. On Friday, he followed up with a 23-point and 10-rebound night against Rush-Henrietta. Trailing by eight at the beginning of the fourth period, Scott boosted the Patriots to a 58-49 win. Penfield is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. tip at Webster Thomas on Wednesday, December 18.

Robertson combined for 38 points and 23 rebounds in two Irondequoit wins on the road. At Webster Schroder, the 6-foot-5-inch junior scored 20 points, 15 of them landed in the second half, pulled down 13 rebounds, and swatted four shots. Behind his dominance, the Eagles went home with a 59-52 victory. Against Gates-Chili, he started hot with 13 of his 18 total points in the first half. He shot 50 percent from the field, tallied ten rebounds, four assists, and two blocks to lead Irondequoit to a ten-point win to grab Division II POTW. The Eagles return home for a 7:30 p.m. against Fairport on Wednesday, December 18.
In Pittsford Mendon’s first game of the season, Shadders recorded a double-double. This week’s game against Brighton was no different. The junior guard finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds in the 64-58 win. He was 8-for-20 from the floor and landed one three-pointer. The Vikings travel to Eastridge on Wednesday, December 18 for a 7:15 p.m. tip.
Lustyk starts his season with two Player of the Week honors in the first two weeks. This week, the HF-L junior tallied 28 points and 12 rebounds in a 69-62 loss to Brockport. He followed up his 28-point night with a 30-point one against Greece Odyssey to earn Division IV POTW. Lustyk sealed his career high with 18 points in the fourth quarter and the game with two free throws with 8.9 seconds left. The Cougars will be at home on Tuesday, December 17 to face Greece Arcadia at 7:45 p.m.
