Third-seeded Livonia and No. 1 seed Palmyra-Macedon find themselves in familiar territory reaching sectional semifinals. The perennial contenders will need to fend off No. 2 seed Geneva and No. 5 Greece Olympia to set up a rematch of last year’s B1 final. Here’s the breakdown:
No. 1 PALMYRA-MACEDON RED RAIDERS (15-2-0/Finger Lakes East) vs. No. 5 GREECE OLYMPIA (9-7-1/Monroe County Division IV)
How they got here: Pal-Mac shutout No. 8 Penn Yan 4-0 in the quarterfinals after a first round bye. Greece Olympia defeated No. 4 Hornell 2-1 in the quarterfinals.

History 101: Pal-Mac is looking to make its third trip to the B1 finals in the past five years. The Red Raiders won last year’s title. After making three straight trips to the semifinals earlier in the decade, this is Olympia’s first appearance in a final four since 2015.
A 5:30 PM kickoff is slated for Wednesday at Honeoye Falls-Lima Central Schools.
