Prior to the fourth quarter, East Rochester/Gananda had been running the ball all night long. East (No. 21 NYSSWA Class A) cruise to victory in the quarterfinals led by Freddie Brock who had five touchdowns on 152 yards and 15 carries. Justus Ross-Simmons added seven carries for 51 yards with two scores and two catches for 77 yards. Cameron Sykes recorded 21 tackles on defense. East will play Spencerport in the Class A semi-finals.

Alexander’s (No. 6 NYSSWA Class D) Ty Woods led the Trojans in the opening quarter with a two-yard touchdown and a four-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Quarterback Dylan Busch hooked up with Josh DeVries on a 21-yard touchdown on fourth and two late in the second quarter to give the Trojans a 21-0 lead at the half. Eric Cline made a 30-yard field goal midway through the third quarter. Woods scored again in the third quarter with a 31 yard touchdown run. Defensively the Trojans held Clyde Savannah in check all night. Ethan Heineman had two sacks and two tackles. Woods had a team-high 12 tackles on the night. Nick Kramer had a sack and 10 tackles to have a huge night as well. Devin Dean and Gavin Smith-Crandall each had sacks. Kam Lyons had an interception and two catches. Alexander will play the winner of (3)Red Jacket vs. (6)Geneseo.

Aquinas, (No. 10 NYSSWA Class AA) led by quarterback Tyler Szalkowski, was nearly perfect going 11-for-12 for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Manny Russell had six catches for 95 yards and two touchdowns with a pick-six on defense. Will Benjamin had 11 carries for 113 yards and a score with two receptions for 40 yards. Bryan Magee added 14 carries for 113 yards and Eimaj Giddens had five carries for 28 yards and a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. On defense, Joe Debonis had eight tackles, 4 tackles for a loss and a forced fumble. Patrick Fenton added 10 tackles. Aquinas will play Hilton in the Class AA semi-finals.

Attica’s (No. 11 NYSSWA Class C) Jacob Gross carried the ball five times for 222 yards with three touchdowns, averaging 44 yards a carry. Zachary Strzelec added 12 carries for 124 yards and a score. Lucas Krawczyk also had a touchdown. Tyler Meyer hauled in a 13-yard touchdown reception. On defense, Krawczyk and Lucas Johnson each had 19 tackles. Livonia rushed for 472 yards behind Joel Smith who had a team-high 240 yards and two touchdowns. Alexander Minnehan rushed for 88 yards with two touchdowns as well. Ryan Haugh had 56 yards with a score and Jake Smith added 81 yards. Haugh sealed the win with a late interception. Livonia will play the winner of (1)University Prep vs. (8)Bishop Kearney/Rochester Prep.

Letchworth/Warsaw’s (No. 15 NYSSWA Class C) CJ Hallopeter compiled 87 yards on the ground on five carries with a touchdown as well as three catches for 16 yards. Dalton English had a score on five carries for 39 yards. Quarterback Brett Vasile went 9-for-11 through the air for 49 yards with three carries for eight yards and a touchdown. Austin Williams went 6-for-8 for 43 yards with a touchdown pass to Eddie Stores who had two catches for 26 yards. Mason Johnson led the defense with 10 tackles. For Dansville, Tanner Dettman completed a pass for 13 yards to Elliot Mapes and rushed 13 times for 53 yards. Ryan Carnevale had 11 carries for 29 yards and Bryce Quibell had 10 carries for 18 yards. On defense, Shane Crandall and Billy Barrett led the team with 14 tackles apiece. John Wikinson had 10 tackles. Dettman had eight tackles with two pass deflections. Hayden Meyer, Ryan Carnevale and Steve Petrillo each had six tackles. Logan Young and Gus Swyers recorded five tackles. Mapes had four tackles and Maison Brown Holdyn Freeman each added two tackles. Letchworth/Warsaw will play Attica in the Class C semi-finals.
