Bloomfield, NJ – The women’s soccer team ended their away game stint with another 2-1 win over Bloomfield College Saturday afternoon.
The first goal for the Redwawks came from freshman Julia Doriski 17 minutes into the first half giving the freshman her second goal of the season. The assist came from Justine Sharda. The game winner was scored by sophomore Haley Cole later in the second half with an assist from Israela Groves.
During the first half, the Redhawks dominated offensively with a total of five shots, two of which were on target. It was at the 16th minute the Bears chalked up their first goal by Glory Amalaha. Second later, the Redhawks fired back scoring the first goal by Doriski.
In the second half the Redhawks continued putting pressure on the Bears’ defense and saw eight shots and in the 64th minute Cole sunk her second season goal.
The back line held Bloomfield to just one shot in the second half to help keep Roberts on top.
The Redhawks are now 3-1 for the season and will return home to face off against Mansfield University on September 18th at 6 p.m.
