Cooper Crunick (Binghamton) allowed one run on four hits over five innings, leading the Wings to their fifth straight win in Interstate Collegiate Baseball League action Saturday at UR Towers Field. The right-hander picked up five strikeouts in his second and longest appearance on the mound this season. Crunick was also able to get out of two bases-loaded jams without giving up a run.
Jacob Heredia (Monroe CC) finished 3-for-4 on the day, doubling twice and driving in three while scoring a run. Heredia opened up scoring by driving in Mike Magnanti (Maine) with no outs in the top of the second. Ben Martin (St. John Fisher) followed up with another double to score Heredia. Frankie Santiago Colon (Finger Lakes CC) singled to move Martin to third and proceeded to steal his way around the bases to build the Wings’ lead to 4-0.

The Flyin’ Fish tallied their only run of the game in the next half inning when James Sciortino doubled in Hayden Ewell (Southern New Hampshire).
Magnanti and Heredia both singled in the fifth, adding a run apiece. Thomas Pasquale (St. John Fisher) earned his first multi-hit game of the season, going 2-for-4 with two runs scored. He also threw a perfect inning of relief, striking out one in the process. Justin Graham (St. John Fisher) also picked up a strikeout after closing out the seventh using nine pitches.

Santino Rosso (Hofstra) and Andrew Zibuck were the only other Fish to collect a hit.

Logan Martella-Tasick (Monroe CC) picked up his first RBI of the season by singling in Michael Jamele (Merrimack College) in the bottom of the seventh to give the Lake Monsters the walk-off win.
Going into the sixth with a 2-0 lead, Dylan Hillabush (Brockport) had held the Fish to just two hits over the first five innings. Zachary Carpin (Clarkson University) and Justin LoTemple (Alfred State) started the inning with a walk and single, respectively. After getting the next two batters out on four pitches, two errors and a single gave the Fish the lead 3-2.
Hillabush has only given up one earned run over 16 innings of work and is currently sporting an ERA of 0.43.

Jake Webb (Finger Lakes CC) tied the game in the bottom half after reaching base on a walk and eventually singled in by AJ Nestler (Finger Lakes CC).
Anthony Kanaval (Genesee CC) pitched the top of the seventh and gave up two hits to Carpin and LoTemple. After an error from the Lake Monster infield to load the bases, Kanaval got the next two batters to pop out and groundout, keeping the game tied at three.

Mike Jamele (Merrimack) reached base on all four of his plate appearances with two singles and two walks. While doubling his season hit-total, he also scored twice.
LoTemple picked up the Fish’ first hit of the game to lead off the fourth. Jaret Murray (Finger Lakes CC) gave up one earned run on three hits over four innings of work. Hayden Ewell (Southern New Hampshire) picked up a hit as well.
