Michael Harrington netted 19 of his 21 points in the first half as the Pittsford Mendon Vikings surged out to a 45-28 lead going into the locker room. The senior guard made seven shots from inside the arc and two three-pointers. Jacob Shadders scored all 13 of his points after the first quarter in which the Vikings held a 20-16 edge. The sophomore guard knocked down three long-range shots and dished out 10 assists. Connor Krapf had 11 points in the second and third quarters combined as the Vikings outscored Leadership, 44-27. The senior guard finished with 13 and grabbed seven rebounds. For Leadership, senior guards Nate Doyle, Jr. and Rondell Watson each knocked down three shots from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter. The senior guard is the second player in Section V to score 50 points in a game this season after Gates-Chili’s Keith Slack did it on January 22 against Wilson Magnet. Leading 33-23 at halftime, the Caledonia-Mumford Raiders started the third quarter on a 23-0 run and outscored Warsaw, 26-2, in the period. “I was really happy with how we competed today,” Dickens said. “We were very consistent today and active defensively which really got us going in the 3rd quarter.” For Warsaw, senior forward Dmitri Steele netted six three-pointers en route to 23 points. Trailing by two with a minute left, senior guard Jaden Hayes made a layup and Thomas hit a long-range shot to give the Rochester Prep Tigers a three-point lead. Wesley Henderson poured in 19 of his game-high 27 points in the second half as the Tigers rallied from a 40-36 deficit coming out of the locker room. The sophomore forward hit four shots from beyond the arc and went 5-of-6 from the free throw line.
Thomas scored 13 of his 21 points in the second half. The senior forward knocked down three long-range shots. Hayes netted all 19 of his points after the first quarter in which the Tigers led, 20-19. The senior guard went to the charity stripe 14 times and converted six of his attempts. Senior guard Connor Taylor recorded his ninth triple-double of the season with 16 points, 15 rebounds, and 14 assists as Avon (No. 9 NYSSWA Class C) surged out to a 28-9 first quarter lead en route to its fourth straight win. Junior center Nick Rowland tallied a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds. Taylor and Rowland both played under 20 minutes. Junior guard Tyler Dailey netted 18 points and senior Padraig Coyne contributed 12. Freshman center Zach Colvin scored eight points and collected five rebounds. The Avon Braves had a 51-16 lead at halftime. For Rochester Academy, sophomore forward Albert Tomlin knocked down a school-record eight three-pointers and finished the game with 31 points. Sophomore guard Daniel Garcia netted 10 and junior forward Joseph Vazquez chipped in 6 of his own.

Derek Slywka scored 16 of his game-high 20 points after the first quarter as Waterloo rallied from an 18-16 deficit for its second win in a row. The senior guard hit seven shots from inside the arc. Julian Ruiz netted 11 of his 16 points in the second half as the Waterloo Indians outscored Mynderse, 37-25. The junior guard knocked down three long-range shots and went 4-of-4 from the free throw line. Junior John Lawrence had nine points in the final two quarters and finished with 13. Sophomore guard Kyle Slywka chipped in 10. For Mynderse, junior guard Griffin Herron scored a team-high 15 points and went 6-of-8 at the foul line. The senior guard swiped four steals, blocked three shots, handed out three assists, and collected a rebound. Senior John Rath scored 18 points, dished out nine assists, and grabbed three rebounds. Junior forward Mason Kuhn contributed 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Senior center Hunter Menze chipped in four points, hauled in eight rebounds, gave out an assist, and blocked a shot. For Wheatland-Chili, freshman guard Taevon Wormley scored a team-high 20 points. Freshman Aaron Lund netted 16 of his own. Bradford held the lead at the end of each quarter en route to snapping its three-game losing streak. Junior center Jordan Sutryk led the Bradford Braves with a game-high 21 points. For Hammondsport, junior forward CJ Hill scored a team-high 11. Senior Parker Watson contributed eight points, Alex Davis chipped in three, and Nigel Snyder had two in their final home game. Next up for both teams is the Steuben County Tournament.

Matt Panara added 11 points as well as an assist and six rebounds. Ben DiGiovanni also had 11 points and had six assists, two blocks and four rebounds. Sutherland shot 51 percent from the field. Brockport’s Willie Ball scored a team-high 12 points and had one assist and two rebounds. Shamar Lee had 10 points with four assists and three rebounds.
