Shariona Blocker led three in double figures, and the East High girls won their fourth straight game with a 59-51 victory over School of the Arts (SOTA), Friday night.
Blocker scored a game-high 21 points to go with three assists, two rebounds, two blocks and a steal. The sophomore guard leads East (10-7) scoring 18.7 points per game.
Makayla McCorker added 16 points, nine rebounds, four blocks and a steal. Tanasia Williams scored 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds to go with an assist, steal and a block apiece.
Shanique Simms (5) and Daniqua Spann (4) rounded out the scoring for East which beat SOTA earlier in the season, 61-53.
Tionnie Spain paced SOTA with 14 points. India Johnson and Charnel Graham added 10 apiece. Urenesis Burgos (6), Skiasai Washington (4), Evelyse Burgos (3), Eysha Clarke (2) and Taylen Gibson (2) also scored for SOTA (10-6).
