Marcellus James dropped a season-high 20 points, hitting a trio of three-pointers and finishing 7-for-7 from the charity stripe. James scored nine points in the fourth quarter alone. Griffin Stella and John Keele each netted 16 points for the Saints, combining to go 9-for-12 from the free throw line. Keele collected 13 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter, draining two of three three-pointers for the evening. The win snapped the Saints’ three-game losing streak. After trailing 16-13 heading into the second quarter. Churchville-Chili outscored Webster Thomas 21-16 to head into halftime with a 34-32 lead. Andrew Mason put up his third-highest point total with 33 to top the Titans, knocking down five threes in the process. Tyler Williams followed with 15 points and Dannie Palmer had 11 points. Jon Boyce scored 23 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and handed out a pair of assists to lead Elba (No. 4 NYSSWA Class D). Greyson Huntington added 15 points (including three three-pointers) and three steals, while Zach Marsceill contributed 12 points for the Lancers. Colton Dillon hauled in nine rebounds, delivered two assists and snatched two steals to go with four points. Elba trailed 32-29 going into the half. As the game entered the fourth quarter, the teams sat knotted at 44 a piece, but Elba outscored Pembroke 17-14 thanks in part to Marsceill hitting two of his three 3-pointers for the night. The Lancers winning streak improved to 10. Jordon Ludwig topped Pembroke with 25 points, 15 of which came in the first half. Ludwing knocked down five three-pointers over the course of the game. The Dragons made 10 threes as a team during the contest. Dom Trippi topped Honeoye with 17 points and four assists, followed by Tyler Rudolph’s 15 point, 17 rebound double-double. Rudolph netted seven points in the first quarter to help the Bulldogs keep pace early. Trippi helped the Bulldogs close out the game with nine points in the fourth quarter, including going 3-for-4 from the charity stripe in the final minute of play. After entering the final quarter of play up 39-32, Trippi and Honeoye held off an attempted comeback which saw Bloomfield outscore the Bulldogs 14-10 to end the game. The win ended Honeoye’s four-game losing streak. Tanner Kimball led Bloomfield with 15 points, followed by Alex Roach with 12 points. Kimball and Roach combined to score eight of the Bombers’ 14 points during their fourth quarter comeback attempt. The Bombers finished the contest 9-for-15 from the free throw line as a team. Bloomfield has now lost two of its last three after winning the previous five straight game. Mason Putnam topped Prattsburgh (No. 1 NYSSWA Class D) with 34 points (14 in the first quarter), six rebounds and six steals. Putnam, a junior playing his third season on varsity, also shot 10-for-14 from the free throw line. James Crowder added 18 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists for the Vikings. Prattsburgh started off strong, outscoring Cuba-Rushford 23-14 in the first quarter, leading to a 41-27 lead at the half. The Vikings also held the Rebels to 14 points in the second half. Ethan Brooks finished as the Rebels lone double-digit scorer with 11 points. Sean McNell and Ben Frank tied for second on the team with seven points each. The loss extend the Rebels’ losing streak to four consecutive games.
