NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Massachusetts junior Luwane Pipkins and Saint Joseph‘s senior Lamarr Kimble as its Co-Players of the Week. Pipkins scored 13 points in the second half against the Friars, including the game-winning layup with 10.7 seconds left, and had all five of his assists during the UMass comeback. It was Massachusetts’ first win at Providence since 1979 and was just the third non-conference home loss for the Friars in 58 games.

A model of consistency, he followed with 22 points, five rebounds and four assists at #21 Villanova. Kimble scored 14 in the second half as the Hawks pulled to within six points late in the game, despite being without their leading scorer. It marked the fourth time this year he’s scored 20+ points in a game.
Honor averaged 23.0 points and 3.5 assists in two games last week. He scored a season-high 30 points, shooting 10-for-17 from the field and 5-for-7 from behind the arc, in a 78-70 win over Rutgers.
