EDISON, N.J. – Senior forward Marvin Prochet’s stellar start to the season has earned him MAAC Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career announced on Monday.
Prochet became the first Purple Eagle to start the season with three consecutive double-doubles in nine seasons. Prochet averaged 19.0 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game to lead Niagara in both categories as the Purple Eagles won two out of three games for their best start to a season since the 2009-10 campaign. He shot 42.9 percent from the field and shot a team-best 47.8 percent from behind the 3-point line, including making a team-high 11 3-pointers.
