Five of the 12 schedule Connors & Ferris Bowl games feature rematches of games played earlier this season.
As in the past, the Section V regular season will include the Connors & Ferris Bowl Series. All 11-man teams that did not qualify for Sectionals have been invited to play in series, and champions will be crowned next week in one of six classifications.
Most teams are playing in a series in the same ‘Classification’ as they played in during the season, but to round out the field, some teams were placed in ‘lower’ or ‘higher’ groupings. This provides great matchups and gives the remaining 24 teams that didn’t make the Sectional field a chance to extend their seasons.
All semifinal games will be played Thursday night at the higher seed, with the final games slated for Thursday October 25 at sites to be determined.
Here’s the lineup:
CF BOWL A1 SEMIFINALS
Greece Athena @ Brockport, 6 pm
The Trojans (2-6) will be looking for a little revenge as they travel to Brockport (3-4). Brockport defeated Greece Athena 31-13 in Week 4.
Leadership Academy @ Webster Thomas, 7 pm
Both teams will be looking to make it two in a row, as Class AA’s Leadership (1-6) travels to Webster-Thomas (3-4).
CF BOWL A2 SEMIFINALS
Spencerport @ Brighton, 6 pm
This is another matchup of a regular season game, won by Brighton (2-5) 35-21. Interesting note, the last three times these teams have played, the winning team has scored 35 points: Spencerport (1-6) won in 2017 35-28 and Brighton won in 2016 35-20.
Greece Olympia/Odyssey vs. Gates-Chili, 7 pm @ Churchville-Chili
It’s the battle of the Spartans, as Gates-Chili (2-5) ‘hosts’ its last game on the road against its northern neighbors from Greece Olympia/Odyssey (2-5). Next year Gates moves into its brand new stadium
CF BOWL B SEMIFINALS
Churchville-Chili @ Geneva, 6 pm
Geneva (3-4), which missed out on a chance to go to sectionals due to a tie-breaker decision, hosts Class A Churchville-Chili (0-7) will be trying to end its 10-game losing streak.

Pal-Mac (1-6) earned its first win of the season when it defeated Midlakes (0-7) 14-7 in Week 5. Midlakes has a chance to turn the tables and end the Section’s longest losing streak at 12 games.
CF BOWL C1 SEMIFINALS
