Thanks to its last second win over then-5th ranked Victor, the Irondequoit Eagles have landed at #5 in the latest Class A NYSSWA poll.
The loss dropped Victor to 9. Thanks to their wins and other losses throughout the state, AQ moved up from 5th to 4th and McQuaid from 18th to 13th in Class AA. Wilson’s rise to 16th in Class A sets the table for this weekend’s Wilson-McQuaid tilt Friday night.
Interestingly, 3 of the 4 Livingston County Division IV teams are ranked – Attica (#16 in C), Alexander (#2 in D), ND-Batavia (#7 in D).
Interesting note: Class D ranks 10 teams and all 10 teams are located in Central and Western New York (Sections 3,4,5,6). Section V has three teams ranked.
