Despite an uneven match, a late goal by Marcus Whitman’s Zachary Lovejoy won the contest for the Wildcats. The Wildcats took a 1-0 lead into the second half, thanks to an unassisted shot by Caleb McDonough. Shortly into the second half, Honeoye’s Chris Lopez set up Ryan Jones for the game-tying goal. Honeoye took 35 shots throughout, yet Zach Payne’s 24 saves kept the game even for Lovejoy’s game-winning kick.

Naples, now 4-0 in the Finger Lake league, shut out Bloomfield 3-0 with nine shots, seven corners, and two saves. With many shooters on the Naples squad, Alvero Fernandez-Escribano, Stefan Radak and Dylan McMullen were the heroes in the match.

MIDLAKES 0
HAC earned its first league win with the 6-0 victory, while Midlakes remains winless in the 2018 season. HAC netted three each half, two of which came from Adrian Fuller in the second.

Newark’s goalie Michael Parker had a busy night against the Mynderse squad, recording 19 saves on 25 shots. However, Mynderse’s Griffin Herron, assisted by Sam Lorenzetti, managed to get one by in the 28th minute of the first. Newark was never able to respond.

Twenty-one saves from Geneva’s junior goalie Mitch Burrall was seemingly not enough, as Wayne defeated the Panthers 1-0.

The Red Raiders tacked on five of their six goals in the first half of play against Penn Yan. Of the 32 shots, Sam Quick, Evan Hurlbut, Nick Sapienza, Cody Johnson (2), and Devyn Johnson were able to find the back of the net.

LeRoy and Avon ended in a 1-1 tie after neither team was able to capatilize after Avon’s second-half goal.

Thanks to solid defensive play, the match was scoreless at halftime. Fifteen minutes into the second, Cedric Aschwanden, assisted by Muskan Monger, knocked in the first goal of the game in Letchworth/Warsaw’s favor. Ethan Grover follwed up with one of his own in the 27th minute to give them a 2-0 lead.

Bath-Haverling’s (7-0, 3-0) offense shined in the 6-1 victory over Dansville. Nick Strong scored two for Bath-Haverling and Thomas Binkowski tallied three assists.

Brady Bishop scored the game’s only goal for Livonia in the 35th minute of play. Hornell’s goalkeeper Tanner Stutzman kept the game at 1-0 with 11 saves on 12 Livonia shots.

David Domina led the charge in Wheatland-Chili’s victory. Domina scored both goals in the second half, the first unassisted and the second set up by Brian Napier.

Mason Bush netted the game’s only marker to lead Perry to a 1-0 win over Geneseo (6-2).

Riley Rease stole the show during Keshequa’s 7-3 victory over Caledonia-Mumford. Rease scored three consecutive goals. The first was in the final minute of the first half of play. Two minutes into resuming play, he netted his second and the third followed four minutes later. Aidan Wood (2), Tom Hackett, and Reese Powers also scored for the Indians.

Byron-Bergen/Elba snuck two through in the first half to eventually seal the match against Holley. The two were knocked in by Wade Thompson and Greyson Huntington, assisted by Kyle Foeller.

Dylan Hanley, Justyn Hiscock, and Ahmed Zaid netted the three goals for Eastridge, while Batavia had one on the board. With a 3-1 lead at half, Eastridge’s defense took over to only allow one goal from Batavia.

With 56 total shots taken throughout it could have been anyone’s match. But, this time, it was Hammondsport’s. Both teams’ defenses displayed their strengt, as the game remained scoreless through the first half. Colin Drain and John Wells managed to find a couple holes in the second half to put Hammondsport up 2-0.

Wellsville’s top scorer Skyler Cline opened scoring in the 17th minute with an unassisted goal. Genesee Valley answered back five minutes later, as Evan Windus set up Hunter Jones for a game-tying goal. The game knotted at one, Alex Ordiway scored the eventual game-winning goal for Wellsville in the 16th minute of the second.
