Both teams were held scoreless in the first half. Edison Tech/SWW’s Cathey recorded a rushing touchdown in the third quarter. Benard recorded the winning touchdown in OT after a 13-yard touchdown reception. A two-point conversion by Cathey gave them a 14-6 lead and Edison/SWW held on in OT on the defensive side to win.

BATH-The Bath-Haverling Rams hosted the Dansville Mustangs in their home opener Saturday night. Dansville came in 1-0 while the Rams were 0-1. Dansville took advantage of the youthful Rams mistakes and held on to win their second straight to start the season defeating Bath 20-12. After committing 11 turnovers in their season opening 47-0 loss at Attica in week one. The Rams committed six more turnovers in week two. Dansville was able to score two touchdowns off those turnovers. Dansville struck first scoring on a 19 yard touchdown run from senior Trevor Shotwell on 3rd and 19 with 3:42 remaining in the first quarter. Dansville led 6-0 at the end of the first quarter. With one second remaining in the 2nd quarter on the Bath 20 yard line Dansville executed a beautiful Hook and Ladder play with senior Brody Stone scoring the touchdown, following the 2-point conversion Dansville led 14-0 at Halftime. Bath junior quarterback Kaden Adams got the Rams on the board with a two yard touchdown run with 6:01 remaining in the 3rd quarter. However the Mustangs would answer with 62 yard touchdown run from Shotwell to make it 20-6 with a 5:13 remaining in the 3rd quarter. 5’7 206 LBS Bath Junior Fullback Cordell Galvan scored on an 11 yard touchdown run with 1:40 remaining in the 3rd quarter to make it 20-12. The Ram defense did its job in the 4th quarter but the offense wasn’t able to reach the end zone giving us a 20-12 Dansville victory. Bath was led by Senior Kyle Rinker with 17 Carries for 108 yards rushing. Adams carried the ball 9 times for 53 yards and a touchdown. While Galvan carried it 12 times for 77 yards and a touchdown. Adams was 2-for-8 passing for 19 yards. Senior Seth Walden led the Bath defense with 5 tackles.
