While the final amount of what will be donated to Camp Good Days & Special Times has yet to be calculated, attendance figures exceeded the official capacity of Growney Stadium. Capacity 2,500; fans 2,609. Victor won 16-0.

Connor Fingar intercepted the ball in the end zone on the last play of the game to preserve Penn Yan’s 34-28 win over Waterloo.

Workin’ Overtime

Billy Thomson scored on a two-yard run and Anthony Muratore calmly split the uprights for the extra point as Wayne outlasted East Rochester/Gananda 35-34 in overtime. ER/G scored to open overtime, but failed on the two-point conversion.

Section V’s Mad Max

Gates-Chili is this year’s version of the Road Warriors, as it will play all its games on the road as the Spartans are in the process of building a new stadium.

Christening New Stadiums

  • Batavia broke open its new stadium in style, cruising to a 48-14 win over Hornell on Friday
  • Monroe will be cutting the ribbon on its new field this Saturday at 2 pm vs East.

Delayed Start

2018 will see the official start to the 8-man football season. If you like scoring, 8-man football is must-see. Four Section V teams will field an 8-man squad. Their season will open this week and each team playing the other teams two times in a home-and-home series for a 6-game regular season.
