Jiahmere Mitchell topped the 30-point plateau for the second time this season, and NE Douglass (3-4) held on to win its second straight. Mitchell scored 14 in the first quarter to help the Panthers take a 23-9 lead over Churchville-Chili (2-4). The junior guard finished with 34 points and collected five rebounds, three steals and three assists. Mitchell opened the season with a 39-point performance against Vertus. Mitchell scored 24 points last time out in a win over Early College. Maurice Glenn added 13 points for the Panthers. Corey Powell led four in double figures for Churchville-Chili with 16. Eric Lewis tallied eight of his 11 points in the fourth quarter as the Saints outscored NE Douglass 19-5. Marcellus James and Griffin Stella scored 13 apiece for C-C. Joey Colyer netted a game-high 23 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor and 9-of-14 from the free throw line to lead Victor (2-4). Connor Keenan hit seven of 11 shots from the floor and added 15 points for a Blue Devils squad which connected on 19 of 36 shots from the field. Keenan grabbed a game-high eight rebounds. Connor Fisher paced Canandaigua with 16 points. Scott Loforte had 13 points, and Danny Herrick chipped in 10. Canandaigua outrebounded Victor 31-27 and hit 13 of 19 free throws as a team. Eastridge had a chance to score but missed a highly contested three at the end. WOI’s Tremier and Eastridge’s Tony Arnold traded 3’s before Brown hit the game winner. CeyQuan Salmon led all scorers with 29 points, 19 in the second half. Brown finished with 17 points, and Javonte Burrell had 11. Rob Clark paced Eastridge with 19 points. Des Ellis scored 16 of his game-high 29 points in the third quarter as Leadership turned a 12-point lead into a blowout. Ellis, who scored 30 points in Leadership’s win over Monroe earlier in the week, connected seven times from the floor during the stanza. Davon Brown had 16 for Leadership while Rondell Watson added 14 and Shahdom Britt 10. Marquis Crawford paced Early College with 18 points. Prophet Hampton had 13 and Shedrick Smith 10.
