History 101 – Naples, which has allowed just two goals this season, lost 1-0 in the 2016 title game to Alfred-Almond, and Jasper-Troupsburg fell to Alfred-Almond 3-0 in the quarterfinals in 2016. Jasper-Troupsburg won back-to-back D1 titles in 2012 and 2013. Naples last won sectional titles in 1999 and 2000 while in Class C.

How they got here: Mount Morris eliminated No. 14 Dundee 12-2 to open the tournament and moved on to the semi-finals by beating No. 6 Fillmore 4-1. Wheatland-Chili opened with a 4-0 win over No. 10 HAC, following up by knocking off the 2016 D2 champion, No. 2 CG Finney on PKs.
Season Series: Mount Morris hosted Wheatland-Chili on September 5, picking up the win 6-1 in the teams lone meeting of the regular season.
Wheatland-Chili has won three of its last four games while Mount Morris is 4-0-1 in its last five games.

History 101 – Mount Morris reached the semi-finals of last season’s tournament, losing 4-0 to eventual winner Alfred-Almond. Wheatland-Chili was knocked out of the 2016 tournament in the second round, falling in overtime 2-1 to Naples. Mount Morris won the 2014 D2 title and Wheatland-Chili last won a section championship in 2008 as a part of Class DD.
