TORONTO BLUE JAYS (75-86) 1
NEW YORK YANKEES (91-70) 2
NEW YORK, NY- Aaron Judge homered for the 52nd time on the year and CC Sabathia threw five-and-two-thirds scoreless innings as the Yankees topped Toronto. With the Red Sox win, the Yankees are locked into the first AL Wild Card spot and will host the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday with Luis Severino on the mound. Aroldis Chapman recorded his 22nd save of the year.
HOUSTON ASTROS (100-61) 3
BOSTON RED SOX (93-68) 6
BOSTON, MA- All Boston needed was a win to lock up the AL East, and they got it. Mookie Betts went 2-3 with a home run and Mitch Moreland knocked in two to get the Red Sox back to the locker room for the champagne celebration. Boston will face the Houston Astros again starting on Thursday in Houston for the ALDS.
CINCINNATI REDS (67-94) 0
CHICAGO CUBS (92-69) 9
CHICAGO, IL- Jon Lester looked to be in true form, throwing five scoreless innings and striking out seven, in his final tuneup start before the NLDS. Kyle Schwarber and Rene Rivera both homered for the Cubs. The Cubs will face the Washington Nationals in the NLDS, starting Friday in the nation’s capital.
SAN DIEGO PADRES (71-90) 3
SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS (63-98) 2
SAN FRANCISCO, CA- Matt Cain shined in the final start of his career, leaving to a standing ovation. The 32-year old righty threw five scoreless innings, looking like the Matt Cain of 2012 when he threw a perfect game. It was not enough though as the Padres edged the Giants, led by Wil Myers, who went 2-4 with a home run and two RBI.
MILWAUKEE BREWERS (85-76) 6
ST. LOUIS CARDINALS (83-78) 7
ST. LOUIS, MO- The Cardinals ended the Brewers’ postseason hopes, topping them 7-6 on Saturday. The Brewers jumped out to an early 6-0 on hits from the core of their lineup, Ryan Braun, Travis Shaw and Domingo Santana, who homered. The Cardinals scored seven runs unanswered, tying the same on a two-run Stephen Piscotty single, who then came around to score as the go-ahead run on an RBI single from rookie Harrison Bader.
BALTIMORE ORIOLES (75-86) 3
TAMPA BAY RAYS (79-82) 4
ST. PETERSBURG, FL- Brad Miller hit a three-run homer to open the scoring for Tampa, which was extended to four runs on a Wilson Ramos sacrifice fly. Baltimore staged a late inning comeback, but came up a run short as Alex Colome recorded his 47th save of the season.
PITTSBURGH PIRATES (74-87) 4
WASHINGTON NATIONALS (97-64) 1
WASHINGTON, DC- Max Scherzer left the game with an injury after three and a third scoreless, a concerning sign for a team that needs his arm in the playoffs. Down 1-0 heading into the ninth, the Pirates staged a comeback, tying the game on a Sean Rodriguez RBI single and extending the lead to 4-1 on a Maxwell Moroff three RBI triple. Felipe Rivero shutout the Nats in the bottom half, earning his 21st save of the season.
NEW YORK METS (70-91) 7
PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES (65-96)
PHILADELPHIA, PA- Nine innings was not enough, as the two sides were tied at four through 27 outs each. The impasse was solved through an Asdrubal Cabrera three-run shot in the top of the 11th inning, bringing his game line to 4-6 with four RBI. Jeurys Familia closed down the 11th, earning his sixth save of the season.
CHICAGO WHITE SOX (67-94) 2
CLEVELAND INDIANS (101-60) 1
CLEVELAND, OH- Kevan Smith went 2-4 and drove in both runs for the White Sox as they topped Cleveland, a rarity on days when Cleveland has Corey Kluber on the hill. Kluber was pulled after only five innings, presumably to not overwork him before the ALDS. Cleveland will take on the winner of the AL Wild Card game between the Yankees and in-division rival Twins in the ALDS.
DETROIT TIGERS (64-97) 3
MINNESOTA TWINS (84-77) 2
MINNEAPOLIS, MN- With the Twins having locked up the second AL Wild Card berth, the Tigers decided to have a little fun, letting super utility man Andrew Romine play all nine positions on the field. ATLANTA BRAVES (71-90) 2
MIAMI MARLINS (77-84) 10

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS (92-69) 3
KANSAS CITY ROYALS (80-81) 4
KANSAS CITY, MO- Down 2-1, Jorge Bonifacio hit a three run homer to give the Royals a two run lead. Arizona was able to get a run back, but it was not enough as Mike Minor earned his sixth save of the year. Arizona has already locked up the first NL Wild Card berth and will play host to the in-division Rockies in the NL Wild Card game on Wednesday, with the winner facing the Dodgers in the NLDS.
OAKLAND ATHLETICS (74-87) 1
TEXAS RANGERS (78-83) 3
ARLINGTON, TX- Joey Gallo homered twice, bringing his season total to 41. Andrew Cashner threw six innings of two run ball to earn his 11th win of the year. Jared Hoying also went 2-4 with an RBI double while Rougned Odor added three hits as well. Matt Joyce went 2-4 with a home run for the A’s.

Carlos Gonzalez got the scoring started with a solo homer, followed by RBI hits from Jonathan Lucroy and Charlie Blackmon. The Dodgers scored four runs answered though, led by Yasiel Puig‘s 28th home run of the year. With the win, the Dodgers will have home field advantage throughout the playoffs, including the World Series.
