MOHAWK VALLEY DIAMONDAWGS (3-0) 4 in 10
LITTLE FALLS, NY– Sophomore Clay Koniencki (Monmouth University) delivered the walk-off single for Mohawk Valley in the bottom of the 10th inning, completing the sweep of the Mohawks and sending the DiamondDawgs to the c PGCBL Championship Series. Junior Joe DeSarro (Southern New Hampshire University) pitched seven innings for the DiamondDawgs, allowing one run on six hits and one walk with five strikeouts. The DiamondDawgs’ pitching staff made sure the Mohawks had to work for their base runners, as DeSarro’s seventh inning walk was the DiamondDawgs’ lone free pass allowed. Junior Julian Gallup (Niagara University), who drew the walk, reached third but was unable to score. Freshman Carter Knapek (University of Massachusetts) threw three-and-two-thirds scoreless innings in relief for the Mohawks, giving up two hits and striking out three.

ELMIRA, NY– Redshirt junior Michael Ginther (Canisius College) tossed five-and-two-thirds innings and let up two runs on eight hits and one walk, fanning four to send the Jammers to the PGCBL Championship Series.Colin Johnston (Monroe C.C.) allowed two runs on five hits over three innings out of the bullpen. Nolan Hunt (Canisius) retired the only batter he faced for the save.
The Jammers drew nine walks over the course of the game, including two each for juniors Alex O’Donnell (Mercyhurst University) and Ben Brookover (University of Texas-San Antonio), as well as three for freshman Matt Cross (Niagara County Community College). However, O’Donnell was the only one to score after walking. Incoming freshman Allbry Major (Xavier University) hurled five-and-one-third innings, surrendering three runs, six hits and five walks, setting down four by strikeout for the Pioneers
